Juli and Jordan are waiting for Thomson in the courtyard, but he doesn't show up.
Juli: (worried) Where’s Thomson? He’s never late.
Jordan: (concerned) I don’t know. This isn’t like him.
One of their friends approaches them with news.
Friend: Hey, Juli, Jordan. I heard Thomson is sick today.
Juli: (determined) We need to go see him. Make sure he's okay.
Jordan: (agreeing) Absolutely. Let’s go after school.
Juli and Jordan arrive, carrying a bag of snacks and some juice. They knock on the door, and Thomson’s mom lets them in.
Thomson's Mom: (smiling) Thank you for coming. He’s resting in his room.
Juli and Jordan enter Thomson’s room. He’s lying in bed, looking pale.

Juli: (softly) Hey, Thomson. How are you feeling?
Thomson: (weakly) I’ve been better. Thanks for coming, guys.
Jordan: (gently) We brought some snacks. Anything else you need?
Thomson: (smiling faintly) Just having you here helps.
Juli and Jordan sit beside him, making sure he’s comfortable. Juli notices Jordan’s deep concern for Thomson, which makes her even more puzzled.

Juli: (to herself) Jordan seems really upset. This is more than just friendship.
Jordan gets up to adjust Thomson’s pillows and checks his temperature.
Jordan: (worried) You’re still running a fever. We should get you some medicine.
Juli: (observing) Jordan, you seem really worried about Thomson. More than usual.
Jordan looks up, his eyes betraying his concern.
Jordan: (sincerely) Thomson means a lot to me. I just want to make sure he’s okay.
Juli is confused but starts to understand that something deeper might be happening between Jordan and Thomson.
