Chapter 5: Unfair contract

"So what were you called for?" Karuizawa asked me as i sat down in the seat next to her once i arrived to the cafeteria after my talk with Chabashira. 

"Oh yeah, was it something serious?" Satou and Matsushita both said, interested in what i was going to say. 

Hirata also seemed pretty interested but didn't say anything as i guess he thought i might not have wanted to share it.

"It wasn't anything serious, there was a mistake on the student database and she wanted to let me know that they fixed it is all." 

"How boring." Karuizawa said with disappointment.

"Right, i thought that maybe she was revealing that she knew you were a secret genius or something." Satou also felt the same way as Karuizawa.

"I think you guys are watching too many movies."

"Maybe your not watching enough movies."

We continued to eat our food and chat until lunch ended where we then we headed back to the classroom as a group. Surprisingly once we arrived a lot of our classmates were already there including Horikita who glanced at me once i entered the classroom, i ignored her and continued walking to my seat.

"Everyone seems so serious." Matsushita pointed out as we sat down.

"I don't blame them after hearing everything Chabashira said."

"y'know, i just realised you didn't really seem that surprised after hearing what she said. It's like you were expecting it." 

"I was just as shocked as the rest of our classmates I'm just not good at expressing it ." I saw that Matsushita didn't believe a word i said but dropped the topic as Chabashira entered the classroom.

"It looks like you guys are finally taking school seriously."

No-one said anything and waited for her to start the lesson.

After school i went to the convenience store to stock up as i was nearly out of food for the week. I had to make sure to keep an eye on how much i was spending since i don't know when i will next receive points. 

When i was walking around the store i saw Kushida in one of the aisles looking at some hair products, since i also needed to go in the same aisle i decided to walk over to her.

Kushida noticed me walking over to her and initiated the conversation. "Hello Ayanokoji, how are you?" 

"Hello Kushida, I'm doing fine what about you?" 

"I'm good but i'm still a little shocked from earlier today." She told me.

"I feel the same, i don't think anyone would have thought the school was hiding something that big." I said whilst looking through the multiple different shampoo bottles. 

"I know right, i guess we were blinded by how good the school seemed and didn't think about how suspicious it all was." She sounded some-what disappointed that she was one of the people who fell for the schools trap.

"I'm sure we'll bounce back." i said trying to cheer her up.

"Your right, we can't just give up now." She said her voice filled with determination.

Me and Kushida continued to shop together and we both left the store together.

"Oh yeah, If you don't mind me asking what did they call you to the teachers office for?" Kushida asked as we both started walking to the dorms.

"There was some problem on the student database and they were just telling me that it was now fixed."

"I thought that you might have been getting in trouble for something." She jokingly said.
