Classroom of the elite: New life

Chapter 3: A cry for help

It's been just over 2 weeks since the beginning of school and I've noticed that the behaviour of my classmates since the 1st day has severely deteriorated, people have started openly used their phones to play games, others could be seen sleeping and some would show up late or be absent for the whole lesson. I may not know much about how a real school works but i'm certain this is not the type of behaviour you would expect from students who are viewed as 'elite'.

But why is the school allowing students to act like this? Are they testing us in some way or is this school really as lenient as it seems?

"Good morning Ayanokoji." A voice greeted me belonging to my seatmate Matsushita who had just walked into the classroom. 

"good morning Matsushita." 

"So what were you thinking about? when i walked in you looked like you were deep in thought." She asked.

"Nothing much, i was just thinking about how kind the school seems to be."

"Yeah, with all the points we've been given and all the facilities it's just like a dream come true." she said, naming a variety of different activities you can do but i could feel that she was also trying to test me in some way. 

"Hey Ayanokoji, do you think the school is somewhat lying to us?" It seems my suspicions were correct as she asked me something that if i were to answer honestly would reveal that i know more about the school than anyone else. 

"What do you mean? Why would they lie to us? There's no way that wouldn't be allowed right?" i said, deflecting her question.

"Y-yeah your right." She said which was then followed by nervous laugh at the end.

Matsushita also suspects the school of hiding information from us but it looks like she hasn't been able to figure out exactly what yet.

"Quiet down and go to your seats lesson is about to begin." Chabashira said entering the classroom.

With that mine and Matsushita's conversation ended as we then focused on Chabashira as she started her lesson.

School ended a few hours ago and i'm now in my dorm preparing a meal for myself as i felt rather hungry. Mid way through i was interrupted by a knock on my door which surprised me as i wasn't expecting a guest.

I stopped what i was doing and made my way to the door and looked through the peephole to see Karuizawa standing outside with a nervous look on her face.

"Hey Karuizawa, do you need something?" I asked opening the door. 

"Y-yeah, i need to talk to you about something?" She said stumbling on her words whilst twiddling with her fingers.

"Sure, come in." I said, moving out the way of the door so she could enter. "You can sit on the bed." 

She listened to what i said and took of her shoes before taking a seat on the bed.

"Do you want anything to drink?" 

"I'll have some Hot cocoa if you have any." she said as she looked around my room.

i nodded and went to prepare both of us a drink. Once done i walked back to Karuizawa and handed her the cup of Hot cocoa and grabbed a chair to sit in front of her. 

"Your rooms really empty Ayanokoji, you should spice it up a bit." Karuizawa said, the nervous look on her face was gone as she critiqued my room for the lack of effort put into it. 

"I don't know what to add, I'm not the best at decorating so that's why I've left the room as it is."

"It's not that hard just think of the things you like and go from there."
