Trisha ~

I walked inside the grand hotel and my eyes brightened up from seeing all the gold and white accents around. Everything looked brighter here as if I was watching a video with increased saturation. If only the reception is this lavish then I wonder how mind-blowingly beautiful the rooms, haul and garden might be.

Agrimma took a big and loud gasp from beside me and exclaimed, "This is heaven."

Indeed it was, the royalness and richness of this hotel were out of this world. I never in my dreams imagined having a wedding in such an astonishing setting. It was more than a dream come true, it was more like a dream I never even thought of.

I thought that in the end I would be getting married in Mumbai only but the sudden changes of plans landed me over to Jaisalmer that too in such a short duration. The mystical energy in the atmosphere, the vibrancy of the colours, the warm aroma lingering inside my nostrils and the royalty of this whole palace could never be replicated there in Mumbai. Mumbai also has multiple 5-star hotels and the most famous Taj hotel but nothing could ever compare to this beauty in front of me.

I have heard from a few that this hotel is owned by Ayansh's childhood friends and not only this he has multiple hotels in multiple beautiful locations. This location was also one of the prettiest with a serene view of the city palace right in front. People say that God's plan is greater than anyone else's plan and now I understand what it fully means. There was one point in time when I didn't even want to get married to that man but after seeing the location my whole mind was changed. I wanted to walk inside this luxurious hotel while wearing my royal bridal lehenga and feel like a queen.

My thoughts snapped when a waitress offered me a welcome drink. I whined in my mind when I noticed that even the waitress here was more presentable than me, I looked like a homeless person in this oversized t-shirt and cargo pants. After taking a sip, I noticed that this wine-like drink was nothing more than jeera water. I wanted to throw out then and there but to keep the decorum of the place I acted like it was the tastiest drink I ever had.

Ayansh handed over the keys to my room and I took the escalator for above. I was staying alone in my room because according to everyone I might need space. After all, the room would have to accommodate the makeup artist and the hairstylist for most of the time. I agreed with them but what about the other time when I would be alone in the room and would be getting bored? I sighed and rested myself on the softest mattress my body ever touched.

It was a tiring flight, me and my whole family in addition to Ayansh and his family came all together in one flight. I had to maintain a full smile on my face every second and my cheeks were hurting by now.

I decided to take some rest as we have the mehendi function rolling up at 12 and the cocktail party too after 9 pm. It was already 8. I might not be getting any proper rest or food for the upcoming 3 days so the best would be to enjoy the free time as much as I can. I scrolled the phone and uploaded a few stories of the pics I took randomly while travelling and of the hotel. A few minutes after my eyes got heavy and I was fully indulged in a deep sleep.

I woke up in a panic as I thought that I overslept but when I looked at the time it was only 9. I decided to take a shower and by the time I was out of the shower, the makeup artist and the hair stylist were already waiting to get me ready for the first function of the wedding. A ritual followed for centuries, the bride gets her hand filled with henna designs. Henna has many medicinal benefits which cools down the body and is said to release any stress before the big day. We blindly followed the traditions our ancestors left but there is a deep meaning behind every ritual, which when discussed gives a whole new essence to their thoughts.
