Trisha ~

Today was the date night. We were meeting in a restaurant which was an hour away from here. He recommended that restaurant and even asked for my opinion but I agreed to him without giving it much thought. The place was far but it was the most perfect place for a date night I have seen. Not like it mattered to me but I would definitely get some good pictures there if nothing else. He insisted on picking me up but I denied him successfully. I didn't even want to go on the date and then accompanying him for another hour would have been greater than all the tasks.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror, the dress clung to every right place. I opened my hair from the bun, that was the fifth hairstyle I tried on but I was not satisfied with any of those. Finally, I decided to go with the Hollywood Waves which made my features look sharper and prettier. I did a little makeup, applied bold red lipstick and finished off with a good girl's perfume. I paired the dress with matching black strappy heels and a Gucci handbag. Everything looked perfect, I fell in love with myself and hoped he wouldn't.

We girls don't get ready for the male gaze but to look at ourselves in every window we pass through. I walked out of my house and sat in my car. It was a long journey of an hour so I played old and classical songs to accompany me.

Driving on empty roads was very peaceful, it was one of the best feelings ever. I looked out of the window, the darkness covered the roads with a little moonlight shining through the roadside trees. I didn't want this journey to end, especially after knowing that he would be meeting me on the other end of the journey.

I never expected that my first date would be like this, everything was good, the location, the timing, the dress, my makeup but the person. The person I couldn't even stand a look of, and I had to go on a date with him. If there was someone else than him, then it would have been a perfect date. After dreaming of, "I want a guy in finance, trust fund, 6'5, blue eyes" What am I getting in real? A doctor with trust issues, 6'1 and black eyes. Well, most of those things don't sound half bad but the thing bothering me the most was his unnecessary attitude like he was some billionaire or at least a millionaire.

Don't you think his attitude is somewhat hot?

Who was that just right now?

It's your heart idiot.

Shut up, I am not an idiot, it's you.

But you also think he is hot. Especially his specs.

Shut up!!

After an hour, I finally reached the hotel. It was a long and beautiful journey. I walked inside with my heels clicking on the marble. The restaurant was on the 3rd floor, so, I took a lift. Upon reaching, I searched for his face sitting somewhere but I think he was late.

I asked the receptionist about our bookings and she then took me to the table. The table was quite far away from other tables that were in the main hall. This one was specially reserved for VIPs or date nights. First time in my life that I wanted a table around the crowd where everyone else was sitting, so I could skip his gazes.

He was already sitting there, and because this table was isolated from the other part of the restaurant, I didn't notice his presence. The receptionist whispered to me, "Enjoy your date night, ma'am" I gave her a quick smile before she disappeared into the restaurant. How could I have explained to her that there was nothing to enjoy on this date night.

He was wearing a black 3-piece coat, that was tailored specially for him, at least that's what I thought because it fitted him so well around his torso and on his biceps making them look more chiselled. His hairs were pushed back in a neat hairstyle and his metallic spec hung low on his nose. He was glaring at his phone with his full concentration that he didn't even notice my presence.
