Ayansh ~

"Trisha", I screamed after seeing her figure covered with fire. Her whole body, including the car in which she was sitting and enjoying music, got covered in fire in no matter of time. Tears started dripping from my eyes. I promised Arnav to take care of her, and I promised myself as well. I don't want it to end in this way. I pushed through the crowd to make my way towards her. I can still save her. "Ayansh ruk jaa, firefighters bachayenge bhabhi ko", I heard Akash screaming at me. They will not save her I know. They will not save her. I dropped to my knees when I saw her face disappearing into the smoke. "Trisha" I screamed. I screamed as loud as I could. She was lying unconscious in front of me and I could do nothing. Why did I go away to buy ice cream? If I never went then we could have gone to heaven together at least.

Finally, the fire was extinguished. Some nurses took her body out of the car. Loud sobs filled the air when I saw her burnt figure.

Suddenly I woke up. My whole body was trembling, my legs were shaking. I sipped some water to calm myself down. It was just a dream but everything felt so real. It was just a dream I said to myself. This was the same nightmare I had that day. But today it felt scarier. My body couldn't stop trembling, my heart was racing and my whole body was covered in sweat. I stood up and my steps stumbled, I fell on the floor, my brain froze and my breathing became faster and erratic each passing second. My whole body was turning cold. My fingers slipped through the folds of the sheets as I searched for my phone. I dialled Trisha's number as soon as I found the phone. I just wanted to confirm that she is okay.

"Hello?"

"Trisha, are you okay?" I asked with my shaky voice.

"Ayansh? Kya hua?" Her panicked voice crossed my ears.

Tears started dripping from my eyes, my silent cries turned into a loud sob.

"Ayansh" Trisha's voice came from behind.

I wiped my tears and tried to gather myself. She sat beside me on the floor.

"Ayansh? Kya hua?"

Without saying any other word I embraced her body into a warm hug. My tears fell on her shoulders turning them wet. Her soft hands caressed my back and a relaxing sensation travelled through my body. It was just a dream, I repeated in my head.

After a few minutes, I parted from her. She stood up and brought some water for me.

"Ayansh, you are getting me worried. Please, tell me." She said.

"Nothing," I said. I couldn't come to tell her what I saw in the dream.

I have seen the same dream many times but this time, everything felt real. This time I knew who the person in the car was. This time I felt a real pain in my heart as if I am losing someone close to me. This is not how I wanted my wedding day to be started.

"If you don't want to tell me, then I will not force you." She sighed and continued. "Now get ready, today is our wedding right."

I nodded my head and she went away. I don't know but suddenly I am getting a weird feeling, if something worse is about to come.

------------------------------------------------------

I sat on the horse. I am shit scared that I will fall and embarrass myself on my wedding day. I took a deep breath and relaxed feeling the soft fur of the horse on my hands. From dancing in baraat to sitting on the horse what a journey. Last day of my freedom.

She would be all mine today; the game we have been playing for a month comes to an end here. A wind of happiness flew through my hair, and the horse moved forward. Everyone danced their way off with the DJ playing behind them. It was not a long distance, just a few metres around the hotel. My eyes moved towards the Mandap where the var mala ceremony would take place. It was the prettiest one I have seen till day. It really felt like a dream wedding that anyone would desire. I hope this made her happy and it's according to what she dreamed of.
