Sabine's comlink signals. She grabs it and her helmet jerks up in shock. "It's a distress signal from Hera."
"Let's go!" We race to Kanan's cell and see Hera shooting down stormtroopers and Zeb fighting Agent Kallus with his bow-rifle. Kanan is inside the cell, strapped to a metal table, with the Inquisitor standing beside him. Ezra stands in front of Kanan, a red lightsaber glowing in his palm. Hera sees us and tries to go and help Zeb. "Get Kanan and Ezra!" She yells.
"Ezra!" Sabine shouts. "What are you doing?"
When he turns around, I see yellow eyes and Imperial clothes. Sabine gasps and I know that this isn't the Ezra that they know and love.
I've been wearing a black robe and hood to disguise myself from the Imperials, but I know that I have to reveal myself now. I throw the robe off, revealing my lekku and my orange skin.
"Ezra? I'm Fulcrum. Come with us."
Ezra doesn't respond, but the Inqusitor does. "So this is the leader of the other rebel cells. The Jedi doesn't know anything about you, so it is his turn to die. Kill him!" He orders Ezra.
Ezra starts to raise the lightsaber, but I see his eyes flash blue for a second. He shakes his head. "I can't."
"Yes, you can. Do it!" The Inquisitor tells him.
"Ezra, I know that you're still in there. Don't be like the Empire. Remember who you are. You are a Jedi," Kanan pleads with his Padawan.
"Don't listen to him! KILL HIM!" The Inquisitor commands.
"Don't do this Ezra. You aren't like this. Don't," I say to him.
"Ezra," Kanan whispers.
Ezra's eyes turn blue again, and stay that way. The yellow is gone, and he points the lightsaber at the Inquisitor. "You are the one that I should kill. Not Kanan. I will never join the dark side, and I will never hurt my Master!"
The Inquisitor scowls. "So be it." His lightsaber hums to life and before anyone can stop him, he slashes Kanan fatally on the chest. Kanan screams and his eyes roll back in his head and he slumps to the table, unconscious. Blood stains his shirt.
"No!" I shout.
"Kanan!" Sabine cries.
Ezra falls to his knees and buries his head in his hands. "Noooooo!!!!!!"
I know what I have to do. I ignite my white-bladed lightsabers, and charge the Inquisitor. He looks surprised, and barely parries my attack. His lightsaber turns double-bladed, but I parry him easily.
"So the mysterious Fulcrum is a Jedi," he snarls, backing off and attacking again. "This galaxy has too many Jedi for it's own good."
I parry his attack and we lock blades. "I left when I was a Padawan. And no matter how many Jedi you kill, more will arise."
As we fight, I see Sabine run over to Ezra and try to comfort him, but he pushes her away and runs over to his Master. He releases the bonds securing him to the table and Kanan falls into Ezra's arms.
