(Kanan pov)
I black out when the Inquisitor slashes me on the chest. The last thing I see is terror clouding Ezra's blue eyes and tears filling them as he pushes Sabine away....
(Ezra pov)
I release Kanan's bonds and he collapses in my arms. I don't even care that I pushed Sabine away, all that I care about is Kanan.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ahsoka (Fulcrum) fighting the Inquisitor with two white lightsabers. A Jedi? I thought that they all died, I think to myself. "Kanan? Kanan! Please wake up, please!" I cry. I lightly shake my Master's shoulders. Sabine stands behind me. "Ezra, we need to go. Zeb will take him back to the Ghost." Zeb tries to take him from my arms, but I hold onto Kanan and let out a sob. "Kid, I know you want to be with him. But if you want him to live, we need to get him to med bay, and you can't carry him, he's too heavy. Please, Ezra." Zeb has a pleading look in his eyes. I take a deep breath and nod. "Okay."
Zeb smiles sadly and gently places Kanan over his shoulder. Zeb, Sabine and Hera all race to the Ghost with Kanan, Hera and Sabine firing while running. But I stay and watch Ahsoka face off with the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor kicks Ahsoka's hand and one of her lightsabers goes flying and lands on the other side of the cell. She gasps and stares at her empty hand in shock for just a split-second. The Inquisitor takes advantages of the distraction and uses the Force to grab her other saber from her hand. He raises his red lightsaber to kill her.
"No!" I hear myself cry as I activate my now red lightsaber and block the Inquisitor's blow. The strike is powerful, but I manage to look my blade with my enemy's.
The Inquisitor shoves me backwards and I fall to the floor. I scurry up as his lightsaber pierced the ground where I was. But my victory is short-lived as the Inquisitor grabs me with the Force and holds me still against a wall.
"Now Padawan, you will die." The Inquisitor snarls. "Any last words?"
I raise my head and say one last thing. "I am a Jedi. And it doesn't matter if you kill me, others will take my place. I die in the honour of the Republic-"
The Inquisitor looks stunned at the mention of the former government of the Galaxy.
"-And in the honour of the Jedi." I finish.
"So touching. But we must not keep Death waiting." He raises his lightsaber-
-And stops mid-strike as a white lightsaber buries itself in his chest. Ahsoka pulls it out from behind him. He gasps and slowly falls to the ground. He raises his head and looks at me, hatred fiercely glowing in his yellow eyes. It spooks me, and I stare at him wide-eyed."You have no idea what you have unleashed here today," he says angrily.
Then his voice turns from anger to almost...content. "There are some things, FAR more frightening then death."
Then I feel the Inquisitor's Force signature weaken, and then collapse completely.
He is dead.
"Ezra, we need to go," Ahsoka says. I don't respond. "Ezra, please!"
I snap out of it and Ahsoka and I race for the Ghost, deflecting blaster fire from stormtroopers along the way. We climb aboard and Sabine races to us. She pulls out her comlink. "Spectre 2, they're on board! We're good to go."
"Acknowledged, Spectre 5. Ghost away." Hera responds.
Then the Ghost flies away, and out into Lothal's atmosphere. Then we zoom into hyperspace.
