20: The battle of Starcourt

"Shit!" Y/n felt hid arm snap back into place. He grunted and moved it around. There was still a sting, but it seemed mostly fine. It had been the next night already. He had practically hibernated inside Hoppers cabin to heal and recover.

"Hey." Nancy knocked on the door. He shifted his gaze and looked at her. She smiled and sat at the end of the bed.

"It's a neat trick. Healing as fast as you can." She ran a finger over his now healed arm. He smiled and sat up more now.

"What's happened since I've been out?" He asked. Nancy's expression darkened, and she let out a sigh.

"Well, it seems El found where Billy was at. But apparently, it works both ways, and now the Mind Flayer knows where we're at." She leaned over and brushed some hair out his face with her fingers.

"It's coming here then?" Y/n asked, a little worried about what was going to happen. Nancy nodded and held out her hand, motioning for Y/n to take it.

"We've bordered everything up. We also have some weapons. Along with you and El." She smiled as he took her hand. The two got up from the bed and moved closer to each other. Nancy hummed a tune as they slowly danced together, their feet moving silently against the wooden floor.

"It's good to have you back." She leaned down and planted a small kiss on his mouth. He melted into it as they pushed even closer into each other.

"Can you two stop making out? It's almost here." Mike tapped against the doorframe. Y/n and Nancy giggled and joined the rest of the group in the main living room. Y/n held small flames in his hands already, carefully hearing for where it would come from.

His ears perked up and and he fired at a wall. A tentacle had just broken through and was now flailing around in pain. Jonathan brought down the axe he was carrying and cut off the head. Three more broke from around them. El was able to grab two with her powers, and Y/n was able to rip the third one off using flames on his hands to tear it from the main body.

He took a deep breath, widening his eyes as he ears picked up another sound. Another tentacle broke from the ceiling and split into two parts, one attached itself to Y/n, and the other latched onto Els leg. They screamed as they were brought up together.

Mike reached up and grabbed onto Els arms, with Nancy grabbing Y/n. He screamed in pain as he felt the teeth dig into his leg.

Pulling his head up, tears flowed from his eyes as he let out a breath of fire right at the monsters face that was shrieking at them.

It pulled its tentacles back and flinged its burning head around, crashing into trees as it waved around.

"Let's go!" Nancy yelled, moving a couch out from the doorway and opening the door. Y/n and El were luckily being helped to the car as Nancy stepped on the gas peddle, speeding away.

Lucas threw a rock through a glass door. They entered the market like store, and El and Y/n were carefully placed on the floor.

Y/ns wound wasn't as bad due to it already started to heal, but just to make sure he ignited that small area with flames, closing it and fully sealing it.

Max had come back with a few jugs of water. Y/n took one and ran it over his leg, grabbing some paper towels Jonathan brought and wiping the excess blood off his leg.

Mike reeled around the corner, holding a walkie-talkie in his hands. He marched up to the group as Max had just finished bandaging El's leg.

"Dustin needs help." He said. They all looked at him in confusion.
