Chapter 8

*ALEX'S POV*

I walked out of the class and saw Trevor walking to our classroom.

I feel my blood boiling.

May pa chocolates pa siya. I then saw Claud and I immediately grabbed her hand in mine. What the heck am I doing? I said to myself.

The whole time Claud and I were walking I kept my thoughts on Audrey. I shouldn't have been so cold to her, she didn't deserve that. It's not her fault that Trevor likes her.

I didn't even understand what Claud was saying anymore. I know she kept talking but I couldn't focus. Am I seriously jealous just because my bestfriend likes Audrey?

"You liked Trevor before, Nabanggit kasi ni Audrey kanina." I said to Claud, she turned a little red. Does she still like him?

"No, she's just saying that," Claud said. "I know Trevor's nice but he's not my type" Claud added.

"Oh really? So pag pinahalik ko si Trevor sayo di ka kikiligin?" I said jokingly. I knew that Trevor likes Audrey pero... I needed him to still like Claud.

Just as I suspected she turned red. "Hindi noh tarantado!" She said and hit my chest softly and I laughed.

I saw Trevor and Audrey in the distance. I laughed in my head. "Mag dinner tayo?"Claud suddenly asked. I didn't want to go kasi darating si Audrey bukas ng umaga sa bahay. "Uhm next time nalang claud busy ako eh" I said and hugged her and said goodbye.

I knew they were both watching us. Pero, why am I doing this? For the first time I felt stupid.

I got in my car and took a deep breath. All of my focus was about Audrey coming over tomorrow for the egg project. "Si Ms. Castro naman kasi sa lahat ng makakapartner ko si Audrey pa" I said to myself. I started my engine and left the school premises.

I got a call from my dad and I answered "yes dad?" I said.

"You're going to be alone in the house again. Don't worry your mother stocked the fridge and prepared left overs for you." My dad says in a caring but always cold manner. I knew what this meant. Another business trip for them.

"Dad, diba kakauwi niyo lang last week?" I asked, clearly sad.

"You know our work son. Your mother and I are always working and we always need to travel."He said in a frustrated tone.

"Ano gusto mo? Hindi na kami umalis para lang sayo?" He added.

"No dad I-" He cut me off "Yun naman pala. We're already at the airport. Kaya use the spare key for the front door. You know where it is." He said and ended the call.

I took a deep breath and threw my phone in the passenger seat.

Wow ako lang pala mag isa sa bahay... I guess it was always like this. I thought to myself. "Ganda talaga ng buhay ko" I said to myself in a sarcastic voice.

When I got home I found the spare key my dad was talking about ofcourse it was under my mothers favorite plant. the Snake plant. I grabbed the key and opened the front door. As expected I'm all alone in this house. I sighed and took off my shoes and went upstairs to clean my room.

As I was cleaning my room may narealize ako. Bakit ko nililinis kwarto ko if sa study room naman kami gagawa para sa egg project? Hindi ko pa din ma sink in sa utak ko that Audrey's my partner. She's a bad classmate so how can she be a good mother sa itlog.

I put the tripod in the study room, the cloth, the blanket, the ring light, and everything else that we needed to take care of the egg. Since home alone ako I just cooked dinner and cleaned the rest of the house. Nakakapagod and pinagpawisan na ako so I took my shirt off.
