i'm in the car on the way all the way to Las Vegas. I didn't even want to move so far but my mother got a job down there.
All my friends that were with me from my freshman until my sophomore years of high school are now gone. I mean I only had 1 close friend and she meant everything to me.
"Mani what are you daydreaming about now?" my little sister aaliyah complained.
"nothing liyah i'm just realizing we are really moving across the states" I said looking out the window. we were still on the road only 20 hours in still 5 more hours to go. I hope Vegas is what everyone makes it seem as.
"you never know Vegas might be fun I hear everyone always say it is" Liyah said as she nudged me. I continued looking out the window. I took a picture as we were driving.

"how about you girls take a nap we only have five more hours to go and i'll even stop so we can pick up some snacks on the way to the gas station" my mom said while driving.
"ouuu snacks how much longer until we will be at the gas station mommy?" Liyah asked getting a burst of energy. all I cared about is how will I make any friends.
"Aaliyah please sit back and make sure your seatbelt is on I will let you know as soon as we get there" my mom said to my little sister as she continued to drive.
I slowly fell asleep as we continued to drive to Las Vegas. we arrived and i took some more pictures.

" We are here wake up mani " my mom said as we arrives to the gas station. "maniiiii wake uppp we're at the gas station" Liyah says while shaking me. "mmm hold on" i said as stretching and rubbing my eyes. "can you just get me a water and some sour patch kids? I don't feel like going in there" I said as I started closing my eyes again. "well at least get out the car to stretch we been in the car for a while and you need to stretch and at least move around a little" my mom said while grabbing her wallet and keys to walk in the gas station with Liyah. "okay fine I will." I said as I opened the back door and closed it behind me.
we finally made it to Las Vegas, Nevada after 25 hours in the car Liyah who was sleeping at the moment. I stayed up after I had got some more rest half way here.
"okay girls come on we are here mani get your sister up for me while I take our luggages in the house" my mother said as she began to unpack the car.
"Liyah get up we're here we finally made it" i said as i shook her to wake up. "we are finally here yes! yes! yes! I been waiting forever" Liyah said as she unbuckled her seatbelt, opened her door then closed it and ran in the house.
"um missy where is Namani? and why don't i see any bags in your hand?" my mom asked Liyah as she was placing her luggages by the door.
"mommmmm she is getting her luggages and come on let me at least see this pretty house first" Liyah said as she rolled her eyes and sighed.
