10 • Starting over?

Minjeong's POV

"Oh!" Her eyes widened.

Ning beside me started chuckling. "Do you know her Wonyoung?"

"I kinda do, what's up?" She asked.

"I want you to show Minjeong, our new colleague, around the building. Can you do that?" And I saw this excited look on her face before she jumped out of her chair.

"Don't worry Director Ning, I got this." She said before grasping my arm and pulling me towards the door.

"As you can tell, this is our floor of the building, other floors are for other departments." She showed me.

"So..is that basically it?"

"What? Nah, come I'll show you around more." She responded as she grabbed my hand.

The tour took longer than I expected, maybe over half an hour but it's worth it because this place was extremely nice and really cool.

Wonyoung made it fun as well, yet all she did was talk about the important places I should know, along with some facts about the place.

She even introduced me to some other people in the building.

I had a feeling Wonyoung was super well known in every department. I mean, everyone knew her. It was like she was a popular girl in high school.

I can see why though. Wonyoung had a cheerful attitude, a warm hearted personality, and a super cute smile.

Did I just think that?

"And this is where we stop, the break room because it's break time!"

I looked around the neat room, nodding in satisfaction because so far, my first day at work was pretty good.

I watched Wonyoung pull a chair out for me, patting the seat for me to sit on and I do so willingly. Then She went off to make some coffee, and I was sitting there.

"I didn't know you're the new girl," She chuckled.

She shortly after returned with two mugs of coffee in her hands.

"I didn't think I'd see you here," I sipped on the coffee she handed me.

I was surprised, I never thought I'd see her again, this time she wasn't a mess but that didn't matter. She was always pretty.

She sat down at the chair beside me, looking straight at me in the eyes, batting them with a grin."So what made you join the department?"

"Something happened at my last job, and Aeri told me you guys needed people so I applied." I told her.

"Ahh, but I still find it crazy how you were the one that helped me at the bar that one night."

"I'm surprised you remember, you looked really drunk that night." I laughed.

"Yeahhh, had one too many drinks" she also laughed.

"Well welcome, and if you ever need anything you can always come to me." She winked at me and I found myself internally flustered for some damn reason.

The door to the break room twists open and a person walks through, except I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or dreaming because I'm sure the person standing there was Jimin.

It is Jimin, actually.

Why do I keep seeing her everywhere? Am I in some weird dream? I'm tired of this.

I looked over at Wonyoung beside me after glancing over at Jimin standing from afar, and I saw a tiny smile on the girl beside me. "Hey unnie!"

"..Uh, hey."

"Oh! Unnie meet Minjeong, she's new here!"

I can never stay away from her can I?

There's long ass silence between us and I shot a quick insincere smile at her before looking away.

I didn't look back at Jimin, and I knew Wonyoung didn't know about me and Jimin but it's not like I want to tell her anyway. All I wanted was to stay away from Jimin.

The tension in this room was starting to feel suffocating, and at the same time extremely uncomfortable.

"I feel like, it's as if you both knew each other already haha!" Wonyoung jokes. And even if it wasn't a joke in reality, I didn't bother wanting to tell her.

I think I'll be facing some new challenges starting today.
