(CONTEXT: this story takes place a couple weeks after Amy moved to cali! There was no breakup between Amy and Jonah!!!)

It  had been 1 WHOLE month since she had left for cali with the kids and if she was being honest so far she hated it and only because the person she wanted to be here with is stuck 618 kilometres away because the stupid corporate ain't reliable enough to seek new employees

Leaving her kind hearted boyfriend to feel guilty and stay longer and she HATED THAT! (Not because he's kind hearted of course)

Regularly they would both call each other throughout the night.... As it helped Amy to fall asleep
She was a cuddler and since Jonah isn't actually there to do the cuddling part he did the next best thing....talking and comforting her until she falls into deep sleep

"I miss you...well I miss everyone....but I mostly miss you... it's been so lonely here, I mean sure Emma and Parker are of course great company but I mean since Emma is still going to school and Parker is now in daycare ,it just me and it gets lonely here and it sucks"

She said in a sad tone lying on her side in her bed as she set up a pillow to set the phone on

"I miss you to bub.... And I get what you mean I can't wait for corporate to get their shit together so I can come be with you guys"
He said smiling a little

"I hope I get to see you soon,I miss my cuddle buddy" she pouted as Jonah laughed

"Same here baby, but everyone is missing you here to it just isn't the same with you gone"

She gave a sad smile

They proceeded to talk on the phone for a good two and a half hours before Jonah could hear soft snores  "goodnight baby see you soon" he smiled looking out of the plane window only 1 more hour to go

One hour and thirty minutes later

Jonah had called an Uber stopping in at McDonald's to order two  hot fudge sundaes for him self and Emma,
before arriving at their new house, it was beautiful it was a two story modern house with a porch showcasing on the second floor at the front of the house
He smiled once again before grabbing his phone out of his pocket and dialing Emma

"Jo? Why are you calling it's 1 in the morning?"

She said not a hint of tired ness could be detected in her voice, he knew she would still be awake she's a bit of a night owl

"Hey em why don't you let me in and we can discuss it over some ice cream, huh"

Her eyes shot wide open as Jonah could hear running from the inside a thud here and there aswell, and before you know it the door was swung open and Emma ran straight into his arms

Causing Jonah to grunt at how tight she was hugging him, she sure has gotten stronger
"Why didn't you say you were coming?!?"
Emma said before letting him go

"I was wanting to surprise you guys" he said laughing a little

" oh m GEE! Moms gonnna flip!!! I bet you she's even gonna cry"
She said laughing as she helped him bring one of his suit cases inside

As Jonah went inside he saw how beautifully decorated the house was, every single detail was perfect

"This was really the only thing that kept her distracted you know,beside being a mom,she really missed you jo"
