I wake to the noise of my alarm clock I quickly shut it off and walk to the bathroom I brush my hair and teeth I let my brown hair down with a white headband letting my bangs loose and putting on a light pink dress with some white doll shoes I  stare and examine my face a little I have pale blue eyes a straight nose rather full lips but I can't help but wish I was somehow prettier I quickly snap out of it and go down stairs to see my parents or the directors of my life both are true  as I grab my books and bag I go to the kitchen and pick up some toast "bye mom bye dad " I call as I rush to the front door "bye honey!" My mom shouts back "bye Dawn " my dad calls out as well

Having them as the directors of my life is so tiring I'm 17! Almost a legal adult I should choose what I want but I really don't wanna start problems or anything so I hop in my pastel pink mustang that I got for my 16th birthday and begin my drive to school I hum to the song misty by Leslie gore as I pull into school even though I'm a soc I wouldn't say I have to many close friends ...

I'm not a popular soc which is weird cause if your a soc your most likely destined for popularity I guess I missed the memo as I get out my car I see my one good friend Jane "dawn! " she shouts as she gets out her blue mustang "Hii Jane " I say with a smile "guess what! Don't guess I'm just gonna tell you I'm going on a date with Randy " she says happily "oh that's nice " I smile while I internally gag

"I know right we're going to the movies you should come it's tomorrow night!" She happily mentions "oh yeah I'll probably go in my own car and stuff " I add "oh okay well I can ask Randy to get you one of his buddies " she happily says "no no it's fine really I'm not really into anyone of them " I say quickly "oh okay well then I'll see you at lunch" she replies before walking off

I walk the halls to go to my next class as I see Dallas Winston and his group of friends as I walk by "hey there doll where you going" he chuckles and shines off his familiar grin "class " I laugh as I hear him and his friends just laugh Dallas has playfully flirted with me well since forever but we both know he doesn't actually like me he's into feisty women and usually blondes or red heads hinting at cherry

Something I'm not which I don't mind I don't like him either so it works out as I make it to my first class I sit down next to well no one .. but that's okay I like my peaceful time anyway

AFTER CLASS • skip to lunch
As I go to lunch I'm looking at my shoes well I walk to the lunch line  as I kinda zone out  I bump into a leather jacket "hey watch where your going-" I stop and look at the greasy haired blonde guy with a Mickey Mouse shirt on right infront of me "I'm sorry I will " I smile politely he turns around  "hey your not some clown soc guy your the girl ol dally was flirting with" he says with a goofy smile " well I hope I'm not some clown soc guy and  yeah well don't tell him but I don't like him " I laugh a little

"Well you seem like a girl to me but I won't it's our little secret" he smiles "hm like your Mickey Mouse  shirt" I say looking down at it "thanks" he says putting his hands in his pockets I laugh a little "oh I almost didn't introduce myself the names Keith but my friends call me twobit" he sticks his hand out for me to shake so I do "well I'm dawn" I chuckle "pretty name for a pretty girl" he goofley smiles while kinda laughing "your something Keith" I say  playfully "oh wow that's cold " he gasps dramatically

"Okay okay twobit " I say as the line moves up "thanks pretty girl" he says looking into my eyes as I stare back with a grin on my face "your pretty to twobit I'll see you around" I whisper to him with a smile as I turn around and walk out the line to go sit Jane realizing the more I talk to the twobit the more my heart races I look at the table that has Dallas and his two other friends they stare at me and laugh when twobit sits down with them  he looks over his shoulder at me as I smile I quickly sit with Jane "wow I never knew I would see you actually flirting with a guy a greaser guy yeah but still a improvement " Jane playfully says

"Jane! I flirt with guys " I whisper shout a little offend "no but you FLIRTED with that guy like you actually like him I think your parents would actually FLIP like flip "she looks at me concerned while doing a flipping motion with her hand "I know I know" I say under my breath  as I look over my shoulder at twobit 

AFTER SCHOOL

I say bye to Jane and begin the walk to my car when i see Dallas leaning on my mustang "hey dawn" he says rather seriously "hey Dallas" I look at him confused "look I saw you flirting with twobit you know I'm not into you like that but he's like a adult kid I just wanna know if you like him or your just messin with him " he acts like he doesn't care  about twobit when he so obviously dose .

"Look I'm gonna be completely honest I might of felt a little something but it's nothing " I say with a straight face I watch as his face lights up kinda well how much can Dallas really light up about something that's not about him "hm good to know " he replies walking away I grab his arm "Dallas please you know my parents would actually kill me and I think you see me as a friend so you don't want me killed right " I plead "I said good to know that's it lips sealed " he tries to say innocently while he throws his hands in a surrender way "hm" I manage to get out as he walks away

I get in my car and drive away back to my house I really hope this can't be right I have feelings for twobit? No no no I try not to drive in a ditch but I know I'm just being dramatic so I take a breath as I pull up to my house I quickly run up to my room and try to focus on my homework I don't know how long I spent just starring at my homework while biting my pencil but I'm snapped out when I get a phone call I Answer it to a panicked Jane not knowing what to wear for her date tomorrow

AUTHOR POV

"Steve you don't understand she's one of the hottest girls I've ever even talked to her looks could kill!" Twobit exclaims "ow!" Steve says as he hits his head on the car "look if she so hot get with her" Steve rolls his eyes as he walks to the front where soda is "I think she took my breath away" twobit jokes "who's the luckily girl?" Soda grins "this soc girl named Dawn" Steve plainly says

"Look she's real pretty and all but I like blondes she's not" twobit carelessly says "look twobit if she's pretty and nice then you shouldn't judge her off her hair color who knows she might become your type " soda states"yeah well no certain hair color is in love you they all are " twobit  laughs "and what if she wants a committed relationship or what most girls like her want " twobit shutters dramatically "well if she even wants a relationship with you " Steve laughs as he quickly goes to the back "ha ha you really got a personality today!" twobit hollers sarcastically "look if you get with her you will know instantly if having a commitment to her is worth it but scratch the first part you need to know before don't wanna hurt her " soda says patting twobits shoulder

"How will I know I've been a junior for 2 years or something" twobit mumbles as he walks out the DV

Back TO Dawn

"Yes , yes Jane blue completely compliments your blonde hair we have been talking about this for a hour I think you should go with blue okay.. okay bye see you tomorrow" I say as I hang up and sigh a breath of relief I close my notebook that I was writing notes in for class and go to change into some pjs

As I change I brush my hair while just starring into my vanity mirror "hm" I squeak out as I start thinking of twobit "no no dawn" I say to myself out loud to the mirror while pointing to myself " snap out of it " I huff as I get up and throw myself on the bed I flip myself over and look at the ceiling and think "twobit is probably out at a party making out with some other girl can I really be mad we just met .." I mutter to myself "and everyone knows guys like him like blondes anyway" I sigh as I turn to my side and reach to turn off my lamp and close my eyes
