Dallas's secret was that he had a rather crush on Dawn since the 9th grade he didn't really wanna date her and he stopped liking her when her and twobit got together but those feelings bubble up every once and a while but are they even genuine?  let's all say it to together now Nah( we all say in unison)  and he knows that

Dawns pov

I made my grand escape I kinda had to lie to twobit I wanna get him a gift and I was supposed to go in the morning as I get to the porch I walk for a little then run when I'm out of view of the  windows twobits been an amazing boyfriend so a gift is needed as I make it to the stores I start looking through the men racks "hmm maybe a new leather jacket or a Mickey shirt I begin searching high and low for what is starting to feel like a hour trying to find something as I look through the glass windows I see the gang I hide in a clothing rack

As they walk by "ma'am are you looking for something?" A employee looks at me confused "oh yeah I thought I dropped my lipgloss in here" I laugh nervously and get out of the rack "okay then" he walks off I decide to go to other store I peek out the door and see the gang is gone I let out a breath and walk to the next store

I'm looking at the leather jackets as a soc guy comes next to me "I don't know if your boyfriend is gonna like a leather jacket" he laughs as he begins to look at smaller ones "oh well he's a he ain't a soc" I laugh "why are you looking at the jackets?" I question as I continue looking at them "for my girlfriend" he smiles as he continues to look

"She really likes her leather jackets" he laughs a little " my boyfriend really likes Mickey and leather jackets so I don't know should I get both?" I find a nice leather jacket in his size "yeah I mean who could go wrong with 2 gifts" he laughs as he picks his out "I guess that's right" I laugh a little as

The guy lets me go infront of him so I get my jacket first then he gets his I make sure to get a bag and so dose he "well i hope your girlfriend likes her gift I smile as I walk out and begin walking to other store

Authors pov

As Steve and soda are walking down the street together back to the gang they look through the store window and see Dawn talking to some guy

"Wait is that Dawn?" Steve looks harder as they walk by "I think so" soda way he's as they look through the jackets and talking  soda feels bad thinking she's cheating on twobit that's why she left plus he doesn't see other girl with her that could be Jane

"Should we tell twobit?" Steve looks to soda "yeah come on she's walking out the store" soda and Steve take off before they could hear Dawn say "I hope your girlfriend likes her gift"

Back to Dawn

I decide to give twobit just a leather jacket since I'm gonna need to give him a other gift at some point so it will be a Mickey shirt I start looking into other stores to see if the gang is any of them since I saw them about a hour ago I make it to the diner to see soda and Steve explaining something really fast to twobit who looks I can describe it

"Hey guys" I smile and walk next to where twobit is sitting "we need to talk" twobit gets up and grabs my hand that doesn't have the bag "are you cheating on me?"his eyes go to the bag "no I was getting you a gift " I put it in between us in a effort to give it to him "is this a sorry for cheating gift?" He grabs the bag and opens it " no why do you think I was cheating" what is happening

"Soda and Steve saw you talking and smiling with some soc  I thought you were with your friend Jane or was that a lie?" He looks at me kinda angrily "well first he has a girlfriend and was getting a leather jacket for her second yes it was a lie so I could get this jacket for you" I smile and pull it out for him he holds in his hands "well now I feel dumber the usual for listening to those guys" he smiles a little relieved and hugs me "now I need to get you a gift" he smiles as he lets go

"Well you'll figure out something" I lean up and kiss him "if you keep leaving lipgloss on my face the gangs gonna keep laughin at me" he smiles
"Oh okay I'll never kiss you again" I playfully begin to walk away "you know I didn't mean it that that way" he grabs my hand spins me around and kisses me  "that was fun" I laugh 

"Glad you enjoyed it , it was a thank you" he smirks "well we should go tell them what actually happened " I look over and see Steve and soda shcoked

TIME SKIP 3hours (at dawns house)

Twobit takes me home and tells me to be read by 8pm and thats the when the sun sets so im excited(chat I just checked the weather app did global warming change it or something 😃) that's about 2 hours from now so I quickly begin to get ready
"Orange or purple or pink?! there are way to many colors" I sigh and lay on my bed I look around my room and see a white dress with blue flowers on it and blue as the straps plus some of the bottom of the dress

I pull it out my dresser and quickly change into it it's very cute and I kinda forgot I had this I remember my mom telling me she met my father in a dress similar to it and planned for me to wear it when they picked the right guy for me . ( idk how to explain the hairstyle so I'll just insert a pic somewhere 😔)

I go down stairs so the excitement doesn't make me start doing cartwheels around my room I make it down stairs and put the tv on to distract myself "maybe I should check the clock" I excitedly as I go to the clock just for it to say 7:40
"Hmm 10 more minutes I can wait that" I mutter  to myself as i go to kitchen

I watch as the time passes .. did he stand me up?
