🎶 Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles🎶

The next morning the sun is actually shining as I drive to school. A smile has not left my lips since I started the bike and began my commute this morning. I have my earbuds in under my helmet and I'm listening to The Beatles the whole ride. The beats seem to be welcoming me to begin another day.

I park the bike in the school carpark, I step off it quickly, take off the helmet and shake out my hair. I shaved 20 minutes off my commute time because I didn't have to get that horrendous bus. I practically skip to the gym and then head to class.

I spot Amy and Ross ahead of me in the school halls. I silently run up behind Ross and jump up on his back.

"AGGHH" he staggers from my weight. He's a very lanky six foot dark haired guy. Amy holds her hand on her chest. "Jesus Alison you scared me. All that running has turned you into some kind of stealth ninja"

I shake the keys in front of Ross's face over his shoulder. "Mommy got a new ride babies and it's sweettt" I sing.

"No way! What kind of car is it?" Ross exclaims. I hop off his back grinning and fall into stride with them. "It's a black Honda motorbike" I say dreamily.

"Biker chick, that's hot" Amy retorts.

"Can I borrow it to impress girls?" Ross chimes in. I put my hand on my chin pretending to think for a minute. "Yes you can, dear Ross but you cannot drive it. We will strategically place it somewhere for you to stand next to and look handsome and dashing". Ross tips his head back and laughs.

We take our seats in the biology lab that consists of long benches that run the length of the room. The class goes relatively quickly which I am not complaining about. It's not my favourite subject.

After biology we part with Ross and Amy and I make our way to English. We take our usual seats at the back and I feel mild curiosity as I remember we will be meeting Ms. Blake today.

As I sit down I feel a ball of paper but my head. I sigh and resist the urge to roll my eyes. I turn my eyes to Gregory. He sits two rows ahead of me. He grins and wiggles his eyes at me then fakes an innocent expression. Amy is chatting to a girl in her football team on the other side of her so I put in my earbuds while I wait for class to start. My eyes roam over the summary notes I made yesterday of the Shakespeare quotes I needed to learn by heart. I breathe deeply letting my back and neck relax. I do this whenever I can to stop myself getting tension headaches.

The door opens and Mrs O'Connor enters followed by what I assume is Ms Bradley. I can't see her yet though. I look down, putting away my headphones and packing them in my bag.

"Jesus Christ Ms Bradley is hot '' Amy murmurs beside me. My eyes move up to the pair that are now at the top of the class and freeze. She's wearing a pencil skirt with a loose silk blouse that hugs her generous curves in all the right places. Her heels click on the floor as she takes her place at the top of the class standing beside Mrs O'Connor. Her hair is in that neat bun and her face is flawless with minimal makeup. Her stormy grey eyes lookout over the class with a stoic expression. My heart is going a mile a minute and I can feel the heat rise in my cheeks.

It's the woman from the book shop.

Well I definitely can't ask her for her number now. She's my bloody teacher.

My heart sinks even though realistically I knew I never had a chance anyway.

"Now class, allow me to introduce you to Ms Bradley. I know you will all give her a warm welcome and be on your best behaviour as she settles into the school".
