We have secured the honey. Also, the fruit and some cups of water. Their cups are so tall and narrow with these weird screw on lids. They're clear too. Why no pretty designs?
"Wanna go to a mouse-eum?"
"What?"
"It's a building where they have old stuff. Really old stuff."
"Sure?"
We walk through the streets looking for a mouse-eum. Why does it have such a weird name? I should have brought the books about humans with me. My knowledge on them is disintegrating.
We walk through the loud city, eating honey and raspberries. We also got apples, pears, oranges, strawberries, grapes and carrots. Carrots are good.
"How long do you think it will be till we find one?"
He shrugs.
"What if we never find one?"
"Then we won't."
He isn't helping the situation. "I wish I could ask the humans where one is."
"If we come across one, we come across one. If not, you will be fine."
"I'll die."
He swings our hands back and forth. "No. Life will go on."
"Not very proper, if I do say so myself."
He sighs. We keep walking.
A lot of walking. We could be on a bus right now, but noooooo it's too confusing. He doesn't understand, that's part of the fun. Yes, we might go the wrong direction a huge distance and have to travel back and take longer to get home- oh, he's right.
They are confusing anyways. All the strange symbols and it makes weird noises when it stills. What are these machines?
"I applaud the elvins that went into the human world and wrote down all they learned for years, just so I can read those books and want to follow in their footsteps but get kidnapped instead."
"Sounds fun."
"So fun... You talk really well for someone who claims he was mute for seven years."
"I'm talented."
"You are. You should tell me why you stopped talking, and then how you started talking. I have no idea how that works. It sounds crazy."
"Another day."
"Which day?"
"A quiet one."
"Okay." This sadness overcomes me. I miss my quiet room, the peaceful music that would play from the plants in my kingdom. Yes, people would play music but mainly the plants. They copy our music. It is so cool.
Oh, home. My parents are still sad. I'm still sad. Why is life so sad right now? Why do I feel like falling over and crying? It came from nowhere. I was excited to find a museum, but now I miss home.
"At home, instead of using the throne room to rule and stuff, like your dad does, about three or four times a season, my parents let the village kids be in the thrones and "rule" the kingdom for a day or so. It is so fun. They become so happy."
"That's nice."
"It is. Do you guys do anything special?"
"Nope."
"Oh, that's sad. They need fun stuff to do."
"They do fun things."
"Good."
