Gacha and Atlas spent the remainder of their time gathering the last of the supplies within the food stands, freezers, and clinics during their momentary stay at the zoo. It wasn't much, unlike their former expeditions to the spot, but it was enough to get them through the rest of the year.
With bags full of food and supplies, Gacha and Atlas walked back to the truck alongside the two dogs, Snowball and Rain. "Damnit, we blew the last of our scavenging spot." Gacha spat. "Sucks ass I know, but this isn't our only spot, it's just the closest." Atlas said.
"Yeah I know.. luckily we have some new meds for Carmilla and the gang to use." Gacha added with a plus side. Up ahead as they got closer and closer towards the the truck, a silhouette of three zombies were limping around the truck past the mist.
The dogs were the first to notice. They stopped and began to growl at the silhouettes. Atlas looked down at the dogs and kneeled down towards their level, petting their heads before looking up ahead. Gacha and Atlas both saw the zombies as well.
"Well... looks like blood's gonna be on our hands after all." Gacha cracked his knuckles. Slowly but surely, he took out his socket wrench as he stepped towards the zombies. "Don't worry, I got this." Gacha looked over his shoulder before tending to business.
With a whistle, Gacha gained the attention of the zombies. All three of them looked male and slender. He knocked first zombie's jaw clean off, and gave a critical blow to its head with another swipe to the skull.
The second incoming zombie was a runner. Gacha kicked it in the stomach, causing it to sprawl on its back. The zombie tries to get up but Gacha jumps onto the zombie, crushing its head underneath his grey and black Nike sneakers.
The third incoming zombie seemed to be a regular, at least to the naked eye. Gacha scoffed, thinking it would be easy. The zombie attempted to smack him, which Gacha had blocked. However, he was sent tumbling two meters away.
Gacha got up quickly, not letting go of his socket wrench. He wiped the dirt off his face, and attempted to run it back. With a strong wind up, he knocked the zombie's head loose, letting the skin hang onto the side of its neck as blood squirted out of its cerebrum.
Gacha only needed a few seconds to breathe, and he immediately began to loot the bodies of the zombies. Altogether, he could only find a lighter, some cigarettes, and an unlocked phone. Atlas just stood there, looking at the third zombie that had been slain.
Gacha got up and looked towards Atlas with a face that slowly contorted into calm confusion. "Okay, so I'm gonna say this as calmly as I can bro; WHAT. THE FUCK. WAS THAT JUST NOW?!" Gacha yelled.
"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW MAN, THAT MOTHERFUCKER COULD'VE BEEN A GYM RAT OR SOMETHING!" Atlas reasoned. "NO GYM RAT, NO MATTER HOW STRONG, IS THAT STRONG AFTER DEATH!" Gacha reminded, taking into account his usual encounters with zombies.
"WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT WAS." "ME NEITHER." They both insisted. A moment of silence filled the air for a moment... soon, groans and growls could be hear from a mile away. The ears of the dogs perked, as they began to bare their fangs east.
Atlas looked down at the canines and then back at Gacha. "We should go." He suggested. "Thought you'd never ask." Gacha and Atlas immediately rushed into the truck. The dogs meanwhile; jumped onto its trunk. Gacha stomped on the gas pedal, and they left the zoo as quickly as they came.
Almost an hour passed by after they had left the zoo. The dogs were cleaning themselves and each other, Atlas continued to count the resources, and Gacha was busy driving the rest of the way home. On the road, it didn't look like there was a zombie for miles.
The house wasn't far either, they could see it just a mile up ahead. "Finally, can't wait to go home and take a nice warm shower. Maybe I'll even ask Carmilla if-" "GACHA WATCH OUT!!" Atlas screamed as a giant four meter undead amalgamation ran from out of the nearby trees into the truck, sending it flying out of the road and into the air.

The Truck was totaled, even though it landed up side up. The engine was caught on fire. Atlas... was out cold. Gacha on the other hand, was still conscious through it all. Cut from the broken glass, but still alive. He looked out of the window and saw that the zombie giant was out there, roaring in the street.
Gacha was confused as to what was going on, no zombies had ever gotten this big. But now wasn't a time for questions. He tried to shake Atlas, but he was still asleep. He looked back to find the dogs, but they weren't there... instead they were on the street.
Rain was still in a crooked position, lifeless. Snowball however was alive, but it couldn't get up without limping and whimpering. Its leg and head was bleeding. The giant however noticed this sign of life, and began to reach down to pick up Snowball. Gacha's heart immediately sank.
In a leap of action, grabbing the emergency flare and pistol off of the floor of the seat, Gacha jumped out of the car and shot at the giant's face with the pistol. The giant winced in pain as its bloodlusted gaze began to redirect itself towards Gacha.
Realizing he had no time to waste, Gacha shit up a flare in the air, signaling an emergency to the house nearby. The giant stomped at him furiously. Gacha kept running around the tall monster, shooting deadly shots at its body from head to toe.
Given a minute of time, Atlas began to slowly regain consciousness. He looked around and saw the totaled position the car was in. His leg was bleeding and his head was throbbing, however his first course of action was to look for his dogs and Gacha.
Atlas got out of the truck, grabbing a spare G9 in hand off of the floor of his seat. He limped around truck and saw Snowball waiting for him, with worried whimpers. He leaned down to hug her and kiss her, then saw Gacha running for his life around the zombie monster.
Atlas continued to look for his last dog, but he found it in the worst way possible. On the street... without a soul. His heart felt like it was being stabbed over and over again. All he could feel was built of grief, and rage. Rage towards the monster that did this.
Without hesitation, Atlas aimed his gun at the giant and began shooting. They were both doing some damage, but it wouldn't keep up forever. This went on for 3 minutes, and the creature looked like it wasn't going down anytime soon.
The first one to run out of bullets... was Gacha. The monster swiped him off of the ground with a vengeance, giving him whiplash. "GACHA, NO!!" Atlas screamed in horror. Snowball barked frantically at the creature... but it was too late.
Gacha struggled to escape in its grasp, but it was useless. The zombie held his body with both of his hands... and ripped him in half.
A cold grated silence began to fill the atmosphere. Atlas was at a loss for words. He couldn't even move or speak properly anymore. And when he pulled the trigger again... he was out of bullets too. After the giant had eaten what was left of Gacha, it turned its attention towards Atlas and Snowball.
While Snowball kept barking, Atlas was borderline ready to accept his fate. 'I'm sorry sis. It looks like we'll be going to hell first...' Atlas thought as he stared death in the face. However, with a savage roar, another entity ran and tackled the zombie to the ground with a thud.
It was the white Tigress from before. She had pounced on the head of the zombie and began to mangle at its skull with ferocity. She wasn't alone either. A normal orange tiger trotted over to Atlas's side, startling him for a moment.
But, he saw that the cub he saved from before was in his mouth. The tiger set down the cub allowing it to cuddle Atlas at his feet. Meanwhile, the tigress spent the next minute tearing at the giant's tough, gross and bloody skull.
Once she was done with it, it went limp. It was dead. The tigress roared triumphantly, proclaiming her kill. Afterwards, she trotted over to Atlas, making sure he wasn't majorly harmed. He didn't really know how else to thank her, so he scratched her blood-soaked cheek.
Sooner, if not later, another car was seen in the distance pulling up right in front of the body of the dead giant zombie. The people who had stepped out of it were Ianessa, and Serenity.
