5: Attack on the Forest Training Camp: Part 2

The forest was alive with the sounds of battle and the cries of students and Villains alike. As the Bakugo Escort Squad continued their journey through the dense trees, the tension in the air was palpable. Every shadow seemed to hold a potential threat, and every rustle of leaves could signal an impending attack.

Midoriya led the group with a determined focus, his eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. "Stay close and keep your guard up. We need to get Kacchan to safety."

As they moved forward, they came across Ochako Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui from Class A, who were trying to find their way back to the facility. Both girls looked relieved to see their classmates.

"Uraraka! Asu-- Tsu!" Midoriya called out, his voice filled with relief.

Uraraka's face lit up. "Deku! You're okay!"

Asui added, "What are you doing out here?"

As they regrouped, Vitaevor, hidden in the shadows, noticed movement in the trees above. He saw Mr. Compress perched on a branch, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. They exchanged nods, understanding the plan without needing words.

While the students were momentarily distracted, Mr. Compress made his move. He silently dropped down from the trees, his hand outstretched. In a swift and precise motion, he touched Bakugo and Tokoyami, turning them both into marbles. Before anyone could notice him, Mr. Compress leaped back into the trees, completely unnoticed.

Midoriya quickly explained the situation. "The Villains are targeting Kacchan. We're trying to gaurd him and get him back to the facility safely. Can you two join us and help?"

Uraraka looked around, her eyes widening in confusion. "Gaurding Bakugo? Then where is he?"

Midoriya looked at them confused. "Whaddya mean? He's right behind us..."

Shoji, Todoroki, and Midoriya spun around, their expressions shifting from confusion to alarm. The realization hit them hard—Bakugo and Tokoyami were missing.

"How did this happen?" Midoriya muttered, his mind racing.

Suddenly, Mr. Compress appeared on a tree branch above them, a smug smile beneath his mask. "Looking for him?"

Mr. Compress twirled a marble between his fingers. "I've taken him with my magic," he explained. "He's not a resource that belongs on the Heroes' side. We're going to put him on a stage where he can really shine."

"Wha-!? Give him back!!" Midoriya yelled, his usual shy demeanor overpowered by his fury.

"'Give him back?' What an odd thing to say. He doesn't belong to anyone. He's his own man, you egotist!" Mr. Compress chided the student.

"Give him back!!" Midoriya yelled again.

With a swift motion, Todoroki launched an ice attack, attempting to freeze the tree and immobilize Mr. Compress. However, the agile Villain easily evaded, leaping to another branch.

Mr. Compress looked down at them, a hint of amusement in his voice. "We're just a bit fanatical when it comes to our values. All we wish is to show him that there are other ways. Because you kids today... you have your values chosen for you."

Shoji's eyes widened in realization. "It's not just Bakugo... Tokoyami's gone too!"

Todoroki's face darkened as he put the pieces together. "There was no need to even confront us... he's mocking us!"

Mr. Compress nodded. "Sorry for my bad habit... I'm an entertainer at heart. Taking Tokoyami was just a bit of ad-libbing. Moonfish... old 'Blade-Tooth.' Even a homicidal maniac like him, whose death row appeal was shot down, was handily trampled by your rampaging friend. So I decided to take him too!"
