As they settled in a secluded corner, Wednesday fixed her gaze on Jason and Pierre, her expression firm and unwavering. "What in the world were you two thinking?" she demanded, her voice tinged with frustration.

Jason and Pierre exchanged nervous glances, realizing the gravity of the situation they had found themselves in. They knew they had a lot of explaining to do, not just to Wednesday, but to themselves as well. How had they fallen into such a mess?

Taking a deep breath, Jason spoke up first. "We were just following the trail of clues, trying to uncover the truth," he began, his voice filled with a mixture of guilt and determination. Pierre nodded in agreement.

Wednesday listened intently, her mind racing as she tried to piece together the events that had led them to this point. It was clear that there was a bigger, more sinister force at play, one that they had yet to fully comprehend.

With a steely resolve, Wednesday squared her shoulders and turned to face Jason and Pierre. "We need to figure out who is behind all of this, and fast," she declared, her eyes flashing with determination. "Because whoever it is, they won't stop until they've achieved their ultimate goal. And we can't let that happen."

Enid had caught up to Lorenzo, who had switched back to his human form and was on edge. As Enid approached her boyfriend, he quickly grabbed her and forced them behind a tree. Lorenzo covered Enid's mouth with his hands as a group of men walked past carrying guns.

As the sketchy group of men had distanced themselves from Lorenzo and Enid, he removed his hand from her mouth, and she turned to face her boyfriend. "Who in the hell are they?" Enid questioned Lorenzo. His face took on a worried tone as tears began falling from his eyes. "They are hunters, Enid. They are fucking hunters. Oh no, no, no, this can't be real. Goddamn it, why? Why out of all hunters does it have to be the SilverBlade Hunters?" Lorenzo began to panic, dashing around in circles and scratching his head. "What's so sinister about them? Are they..." Before Enid could finish, Lorenzo cut in. "They are sent from below; they are like hell's special hunters sent to kill people classified as threats. The same hunters that killed my family. They are here for me because I just had a bloody fight with Death himself, basically. I'm so screwed. I can't, I just can't. I need to get as far away from here as possible."

Enid nodded at Lorenzo as they made a run to the car park. Upon reaching it, Lorenzo unlocked his car and started the engine. "Look, Enid, I'm no longer the big, tough Alpha you once knew. I can't fight them. One shot and it's all over for me, for real. I can't put you through that again and forever. They won't touch you or anything; they are here for me and that Pierre, so you and Wednesday and the rest of the school are all safe. I need you to go back and alert Wednesday, okay?" Enid looked back and leaned in for a kiss. "You be safe, Lorenzo. Contact me as soon as you can." Lorenzo nodded in response before speeding off, leaving a very confused and upset Enid as she made her way back to the school.
