Eli and Athena stood in front of the volleyball net, waiting for Demetri to throw the volleyball. Demetri and moon were in one team, Eli and Athena in the other.

Athena watched Demetri as he cracked his neck, finally throwing the ball. the ball hit the net, causing it to fall on the sand pathetically.

Athena threw her arms to her sides as Hawk sighed. "uh, mulligan, send it back." Demetri said after clearing his throat.

"there are no mulligans in volleyball." Hawk said as Demetri scoffed at the boy. "says you." He said before walking away from the net. "water break."

Hawk looked at Athena in disbelief as she shrugged in response. Demetri rubbed his face with a Cobra Kai towel as two girls walked by, eyeing the boy.

"Cobra Kai? you guys won the tournament, right?" one of the girls asked, standing a few feet across the boy. Demetri looked around in surprise, Athena giving him a nod of encouragement.

"the all valley? the rumble in reseda? yes, uh..." he said before leaning on the pole that was holding up the net. "we, uh... we certainly did." Athena smiled at his words as Hawk furrowed his brows.

"cool. we're gonna go for a swim, but maybe we'll play with you later?" the girl said. "pffft, most def." Demetri said, trying to play it cool. "uh, that means 'most definitely.'" he added, causing the girls to giggle before walking away.

"look at you, player." Moon said, smiling at Demetri. "I genuinely don't know how that worked on them." Athena chuckled as she shook her head, walking towards him.

"it would be nice if you actually earned the Cobra Kai cred you're so happy to take. when are you ever gonna sign up?" Eli said. "I don't know. I'm kinda enjoying the gain without the pain." Demetri said, still looking at the girls who were walking away.

"you should be, it's about time you got some action in the ladies department." Athena said before sipping water from moon's bottle. "and by action I don't mean playing game boards in Eli's basement." she added, earning a huff from Eli.

"thank you, Athena." Demetri said as he looked at Eli who was annoyed by the situation. "y'know, you should use Cobra Kai to your advantages too, Athena. you can't be the only one in the trio without a partner." He said, turning to her.

"what? no." Athena and Eli say in unison. she turned to him in confusion as she furrowed her brows. "I know why I'm saying no, but why are you saying no?" she asked as she crossed her arms.

Hawk was at a lost for words, he kept stammering as the girl looked at him, her eyebrows raising in suspicion. "uh, well, I think-" he started, being interrupted by Miguel. "Hawk."
