CHAPTER ONE!
━━━ ❛ mango ade ❜ ♯
CLEANING THE COUNTER swiftly, Elani waited whilst the coffees the customers before her ordered filled the cups. As soon as she was done, she turned around and eagerly placed them on the now cleaner counter.
"There you go." she announced with a smile, happiness flowing in her senses once the customers smiled back in satisfaction.
Truth be told, the woman was thankful for her boss setting the air conditioner to a pleasurable temperature. Although, she knew that once she was out of there the heat she had been desperately trying to avoid would sadly bite at her skin.
The ringing of the bell pulled her out of her thoughts. Immediately, she turned to the entrance of the shop, gretting whoever it was that had laid foot inside.
"Welcome!" she turned, her eyes landing on a man who seemed to be about her age.
His blonde hair were tied in a half up half down style, a few stray strands embracing his features perfectly. The sun that made its way through the window shined on his now smiling eyes, adding an additional touch to his bliss.
"Hello." he greeted, his deep voice contrasting his cheerful expression — and yet, it managed to match him perfectly.
"What can I get for you?"
The man seemed to be thinking for a quick second, but his response came not long after.
"Mango ade." he replied, a smile still tracing his lips. His eyes seemed to be analyzing Elani, so much that even upon nodding and turning around to grab the ingredients, she could see through her peripheral vision as uncertainty slowly overtook his features.
Whilst she worked, she couldn't help but glance at the man in front of her every now and then — why was he even staring at her in the first place?
"Is everything alright?" she slowly questioned, placing the ingredients back in their regular spot.
