Hwang Hyunjin and Lee Felix had been best friends for as long as they could remember, siding with each other at any possible situation. Growing up together, they logically spent most of their time next to the other — whether it was playing football outside with their common friends, or playing videogames as it outside poured.
Nonetheless of this, Hwang Elani barely came face-to-face with her brother's friends. Everytime they came over she'd be in her room, and whenever they'd hangout with her brother outside of the house, she'd never come along. The only interactions she'd ever had with them was bumping into them at school or seeing them whilst going downstairs to grab something. But even then, she spared them little of her attention.
However, years later, Felix and Elani properly meet when the man visits the cafe she works at, and he takes it upon himself to remind her of the fact that they do, indeed, know each other. Of course, she recognizes him in the slightest, but she's yet again uninterested in getting to know him any further. Whereas she seems to be building up a wall before him, Felix only goes ahead to pull that exact wall down.
