A/N this is the same AU as the last one, just farther in the future, also Y/N is feminine presenting for this, which will become pretty clear soon lol.

|3rd Person POV|

Y/N was sitting alone in her room in the main house of the hilltop, hair done, dress on and her excitement almost boiling over. She was waiting patiently for her family and friends to be ready to leave for Alexandria, she had a wedding to attend.

A small rock hit the window across the room, causing Y/N to stand and move towards it. Outside, standing beside stood Daryl, surprisingly clean and with his hair half pulled up.

Y/N balled up her skirt and ran out of the room, galloping down the stairs and out the back door. Running through the grass, she leaped into her brother-figures arms, laughing as he grunted by the surprise embrace.

"Someone's excited, maybe to excited, are you feeling ok?" He asked, placing Y/N on the ground.

"I am great! I haven't felt this good in so long." She beamed.

"I can tell." Daryl smiled and looked her over, backing up a bit to get a full view of her dress.

Daryl began to walk around her, looking at the wide skirt and long train, examining the lace and beads covering her shoulders and collarbone, along the sleeves and the veil that hung gracefully from her head.

"Why are you circling me, what were you a vulture in another life?" Y/N joked.

Daryl smiled and looked at her face, a proud look covering his features.

"Where did you get this thing?" He asked, referring to the clearly vintage, maybe late seventies wedding dress she wore.

"Found it in an empty house by the kingdom a few weeks ago and decided I wanted to get married in it, so here I am." Y/N giggled, showing off how perfectly it fit her.

"Well, you definitely look good, I'm happy you feel good in it too." He smiled.

Behind them the back door opened, Maggie and Enid stepping outside in matching blue dresses. Upon seeing Y/N and Daryl, smiles grew on their faces, a sudden sparkle entering their eyes.

"You look beautiful Y/N!" Maggie said, her southern accent loud and proud.

"I told you," Enid said to Maggie. "Daryl, you washed your hair!?"

"Ya well I was told I needed to be 'perfect' for Y/N if I was going to be at the wedding, so I did my best." He said, scratching the back of his neck and look at Y/N.

She smiled back, simply happy that he was coming to the ceremony instead of joining the people guarding it like he said he would.

A horn sounded on the other side of the house, Maggie and Enid jumping to the sound.
