Lando, June and I stood in the hallway, hugging for quite a long moment until June started to whine because of it.
I took a step back, rocking her in my arms, looking at Lando with a big smile on my face.

"Are we finally free?" I whispered even though there wasn't a reason to whisper.
"I think so. They told me to soft launch our relationship in the next few days and weeks, not that it's necessary because they already made their stories but whatever. Let's not talk about that, I came to make my two girls healthy again because look at you guys being pale and red in the face."

How. Can. A. Man. Be. So. Perfect. Like. Him? And did he just say 'our relationship'? Casually like that?
"You're so cute, really, but I don't want you to get sick again. You know you need to race fast cars and stuff."
"I know but you probably got that cold from me so I can't get it back and I feel responsible to heal you. Especially because June got it as well"

He had a point there but I wasn't convinced at all. I knew how hard it was for him, driving with his cold the last few weekends because after all, formula one is still a really hard sport where you need to focus and concentrate.

"Fine." I said, feeling kind of happy that he convinced me so fast. "But no kisses." I added.
He pulled me nearer to his body, whining exactly like June. "Come onn. We haven't seen each other in over a month and you won't kiss me?"
"Because I really don't want to infect you. Listen to yourself, you sound just like June." I laughed, hitting his chest.
"Right June? Daddy makes the same noise you do a lot lately huh?"

I took a step back as I started coughing really bad again.
"You should sit down and rest some more,"
He pushed me gently to the couch before he went off just to come back with some blankets and a bag he brought when he came.

June layed down on my chest, looking around tired while Lando wrapped us in a blanket. I then found out that he brought a bunch of medicine, snacks, tea and movies. The movies were a bit random considering that we both have like all the streaming platforms to choose movies from but whatever.

"Surprise, movie night. Which movie do you want to watch?" He asked excitedly.
"That's so sweet Lando. What about tangled? I bet you haven't watched it. Or inside out?"
I gave him two movies I'd like to see for him to choose and he chose inside out.

"I honestly really didn't watch them. I borrowed them from my sisters." He chuckled.
"Well then your sisters have a really good taste in movies."
"I'll make sure to tell them."

"Okay you need to get me some tissues for when I'm a crying mess in an hour." I said, unable to move because he turned us into a blanket burrito.
"Wait I thought it's a movie for kids? Why would you cry?" Lando inspected the dvd one more time. Oh if only he knew.
"Movies that are meant for kids usually have a deep meaning that you just understand when you're older. You will see."

He didn't understand of course because he is a man but he brought me tissues anyway and started the movie with a shrug.

"Do you think it's fine when I post this on my Instagram? I've been posting stuff as if nothing happened but yeah. This would be kind of a giveaway I think." I asked playing with my fingers because I WANTED to give away something. I was tired of lying to everyone but after what happened in Monaco it would be too early.

"I think it's okay to post. We are supposed to post little things like that anyway so go on." His thumb brushed over my cheek lovingly as I looked up to him, smiling.
"Okay." I whispered because my voice wasn't existing anymore.

The movie started and by then, June fell asleep on my chest which was good because otherwise she would've looked at the screen and wouldn't sleep a bit. Even though I try my best to keep her away from screens, it's not quite easy so she does know what it is and she does love to watch anything in a screen. Probably just because it's colorful and moving but whatever.

"Look, that's you as soon as you sit in your f1 car." I chuckled when anger was introduced.
"WOW that's so not true. I'm always kind and respectful."
"I don't know about that. Remember Austria?"
"You really like to rub salt into my wounds huh?"
He made a hurtful face, touching his chest.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Maybe you're right and he's more like Max."
"Yeah I can see that too." He chuckled with me.

When I started coughing, Lando's expression changed to worried immediately.
"Do you want me to make you a tea? Your throat must be sore from all this coughing.
"Oh no it's okay, thank you."
"Are you sure?"
I nodded instead of answering so he let the topic down.

One and a half hours and a ton of tissues later, the movie ended. The scene with bingbong always gets me but Lando didn't quite understand why I was crying like that to a point where he had to comfort me so I won't wake June again.

When my tears dried, everything was dark except of the screensaver of the tv and we enjoyed the silence and each other's presence.
"Sometimes I look at her and can't believe that we...made her. We made a whole human being from scratch. Isn't that crazy?" I whispered as I watched June drooling.

"That sounds a bit weird but yes. I can't believe that either." He giggled. "But I also can't believe that we made it to this." His finger pointed at me, then at himself.
"I know right? Isn't that great?" I smiled at him.
"It is. And I'm so glad because I love you so fucking much I don't know what I would do with all my love instead."

I was too stunned to speak so I just stared at him with a smile slowly spreading on my face.
Did he really say that just a moment ago?
My heart was beating so fast and so loud I was scared it would wake up June any second.

"Am I tripping or did you really say what I think you said?" I asked nervously, hoping he will say it again.
"I said exactly what you think I said. I said that I love you. I love you so much Emily."

My heart skipped a beat. I had the urge to jump on him, kiss him, hug him, scream and cry but I remembered June so I held back all my emotions and intrusive thoughts.
"Omg I can't believe this. I love you too Lando." I whispered.
"You don't have to say it just because I said it. No need to feel pressured."
"What? No. I mean it. I would've said it sooner but I was scared that you wouldn't feel the same as I do so I didn't say anything." I explained, playing with my fingers again.

Lando looked like he needed a second to understand everything I said since I talked away too fast out of excitement. "Oh Em. I'm sorry you felt that way."
"No it's okay. Look where we are now so how on earth am I in a position to complain?"

We smiled at each other for a minute or two, then he kissed me. Intentionally I kissed him back until it came to me that I was still sick so I gently pushed him back.
"I'm still ill. You can't get sick again."
"I couldn't care less." He replied, kissing me again right after.
