"Kamila, come on, we're going now," I said, picking up my one-year-old daughter. Kamila smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her cheek and smiled. Kamila and I were going to a celebration hosted by my parents, and I really hoped Keanu wasn't on the invitation list. But if he's there, I don't know if I can stay.

I feel guilty for keeping him away from his daughter and not letting him meet her or even know that she is his. We didn't end on good terms. We had an argument and agreed to go our separate ways. As I made my way to the little celebration, which was just an anniversary party with family.

I arrived around 5:20. The celebration started at 5:30.

I got out of the car and sighed, grabbing Kamila. "Come on, Kam," I said, and she giggled as I tickled her and took her out of the seat. I held her and grabbed her small diaper bag, which was just a small pink mini backpack. It's been almost two years; Kam will be turning two years old in a couple of months, and it's been two years since Keanu and I ended things.

I walked to the door and opened it. I saw my mother talking to someone I was devastated to see. "Y/n," my mother said, looking at the door. She was talking to Keanu's mother, meaning Keanu was here. I gave my mom a smile. "My grandbaby," my mother said, coming up to me and hugging me, kissing Kamila's cheek. Kamila smiled. Keanu's mom came up to me and smiled. "Y/n, I am glad to see you," Keanu's mom said, and I smiled. "Glad to see you too," I said.

"Are you married now? You have a baby?" Keanu's mom asked, looking at Kamila. "No, I am not married, and yes, I have a baby," I said and smiled back at her. Keanu's mom's face fell. "She looks like Keanu. You guys had a baby and didn't tell me?" Keanu's mom said, sounding a little heartbroken.

"I had her and didn't tell anyone, only my parents know her. I'm sorry I didn't tell you," I said. "That's Keanu's baby. Did you at least tell him?" Keanu's mom asked. "I told her too. She hasn't been able to," my mom said, taking my side. "Why wouldn't you tell him? He's her father," Keanu's mom said sadly. "Because I felt like he hated me, and I didn't know if he would care since we didn't end on good terms," I said, fidgeting with my fingers. "Please don't be mad at me," I said, feeling like I was going to cry. Keanu's mom had a sad face like she was about to cry and hugged me. I hugged her back, and my dad came over.

"Y/n, KamKam," my father said, tickling Kamila, who giggled. My dad greeted me with a hug, and I smiled, hugging him back. "Can I meet her?" Keanu's mother asked, and I nodded. I saw Keanu come out of the bathroom and look around. I quickly looked away. "Hey, Kamila," Keanu's mom said, smiling. "I am your grandma too," Keanu's mom said, messing up her dress collar.

"Oh, Keanu is out of the bathroom," Keanu's mom said. "I am going to say hi to the other guests as well," I said, and Keanu's mom nodded and handed me Kamila. "Y/n," Keanu's mom said.

"Yeah," I said. "He still loves you, you know. The breakup affected him too, and he will care for his kid even if you guys had a huge fight and ended badly. He's kind-hearted; he wouldn't not care for her just out of spite for you. I don't think he will ever stop loving you. Tell him at least, even though I think you and he are made for each other and are soulmates in every universe," Keanu's mom said, giving me a warm smile.

"Do you hate me for not telling you?" I said. "Of course not, sweetheart. I was just a bit heartbroken, but I will get over it. Also, he's looking over here. He knows you're here," Keanu's mom said and smiled, walking away. I went to say hi to some of my uncles and aunts. I was at the little snack table since some of them were just eating with the kids. Some were just my nieces and nephews, who were all saying hi to Kamila and me. "MaMa," Kamila said and smiled. "Yes, baby," I said.
