The bass thumped through the walls of the crowded club, a steady pulse that vibrated through the floor and into the soles of Jake's shoes. Neon lights flickered, casting an electric glow over the dance floor, where bodies moved in rhythm, lost in the music. The air was thick with the scent of sweat, perfume, and excitement, a cocktail of sensations that filled Jake with a strange mix of exhilaration and unease.

He pushed through the throng, his eyes scanning the dimly lit corners of the room. Somewhere in this chaos, he knew he was there. His heart quickened at the thought of seeing him, his smile lighting up the shadowy space like a beacon. He brushed a strand of hair from his face, hoping he looked as confident as he tried to feel.

But as he made his way toward the bar, a shiver ran down his spine. He could feel eyes on him, an unsettling presence that made the back of his neck prickle with anxiety. He glanced over his shoulder, but the sea of faces offered no clues. He was just one person among many, yet the feeling of being watched was impossible to shake.

Ignoring the unease, Jake focused on his goal. He reached the bar and scanned the room again, searching for him. Little did he know, in the shadows, someone else was watching his every move, waiting for the perfect moment to step out of the darkness.

"Anything you want, sir?" a sudden male voice came from behind him.

"AH? Oh, yeah! Uh...a cocktail, please," he said without even turning around to face the barman.

"What kind of?" the man screamed.

"AH?" Jake could not hear him as the music was loud.

"I SAID, WHAT KIND OF?" the barman repeated.

"OHHH, any! Anything would work!" he said and smiled.

Jake continued to look into the crowd. He was still searching for his beloved Park Sunghoon, who had not attended the church ceremony for the fourth time. Jake had an obsession over him. Sunghoon was famous at the university as a shy Christian boy who went to church every single Sunday. Many university students saw him in the front of the crowd right at the monastery.

"He is so polite."

"He goes to church every Sunday, wow!"

"Boys these days are not like him!"

"Does he have a girlfriend?"

Jake heard thousands of good comments about him. But he never said anything like that to his fans. He just loved the fame and let it be. He was not only popular for being an open Christian but also the best friend of the famous face, or for being good at singing. Everybody at his university loved him. However, who would ever know that Jake was not what he seemed? Who would imagine that he was not a believer in God, but actually an atheist? Or that he was not polite at all, but slightly a psychopath? A male that went to church just to see his three-year crush, Park Sunghoon. Everyone knew he was a straight guy, but from the beginning, he was attracted to the same gender.
