Little big games

Jake knew he needed to catch up on his studies, having already missed today's class. He decided the best place to focus would be the university library. He grabbed his bag, said goodbye to Jungwon, and made his way to the quiet sanctuary of books and study tables.
As Jake made his way to the library, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He brushed it off as paranoia from the encounter with Jay earlier. He needed to focus on his studies and catch up on the classes he had missed.
Entering the library, Jake found a quiet corner and spread out his books. He had just started to immerse himself in his work when he heard a soft grunt and a thud. Looking up, he saw that he had accidentally knocked into someone, causing their books to scatter.
"I'm so sorry!" Jake exclaimed, bending down to help pick up the books. As he handed them back, he froze. It was Sunghoon.
"No problem," Sunghoon replied, taking the books from Jake's hands. "It happens."
Jake's heart raced. This was the moment he had always fantasized about, but now that it was happening, he felt utterly unprepared. "Uh, I didn't expect to see you here,y..you are Sunghoon right?" he stammered, feeling the awkwardness envelop him.
Sunghoon smiled slightly. "Yeah, I come here sometimes to study. It's a good place to focus."
Jake nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I... I've noticed you at church before. I mean, I used to see you there every week."
Sunghoon's expression changed subtly, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "Yeah, I remember seeing you too. But I haven't been there for a while. " Sunghoon leaned down to Jake as younger was shorter and more tiny "Did you miss me?" he smirked
Jake felt his cheeks flush. "Well, kind of.... I MEAN, it was noticeable. You usually never miss a ceremony."
Sunghoon looked thoughtful and stood still again. "Yeah, I've been dealing with some stuff. It's been a bit hectic lately."
Jake felt a surge of sympathy. "I get that. Life can be pretty overwhelming sometimes."
There was a brief silence, then Sunghoon broke it. "Hey, do you mind if I join you? We can work together."
Jake's heart skipped a beat. "Sure, that'd be great."
They settled at the table, and as they began to work, Jake couldn't help but steal glances at Sunghoon. He still couldn't believe this was happening. The person he had admired from afar was now sitting right next to him. He slowly took a look at what was Sunghoon reading. "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel" .
"Wow...he is really a christian..." he thought
After a while, Jake mustered the courage to ask, "So, why did you miss the last four ceremonies? If you don't mind me asking."
