I, never exposed where I live because I didn't think it was necessary for anyone to know about me. But it's about time I use what little platform I have to raise awareness..

This is not a joke. This may really be my last words.

We, are being hunted down like dogs by the government of Bangladesh.

So please, read our story.

We, are students of Bangladesh. The hopes of our parents and the backbone of our nation. At least that's what the geezers write in the textbook. But most of the graduates usually leave country after graduation. Why?

Quota reservation... A system that reserves a number of seats for the privileged. Especially the newly implemented 56% quota reservation..

We've been trying to peacefully protest against the unfair system of quota reserve in the government job sectors of our country. About 30% of the 56% quota in those job sectors were reserved for the the sons of the grandsons of the one's who fought in the liberation war during 1971, leaving only 44% for the general public. It is a cleaver system implemented by the Awami League government. Those with the advantage of quota reserve will always favor the government. If they're employed in all national sectors, that would pretty much ensure a solid position for the BAL.

We were not trying to sully the honour of those who sacrificed themselves for our freedom. We simply wanted them to reform the percentage and give the general students their deserved rights.

But out prime minister 'Sheikh Hassina' laughed it off, literally. Not only that, she also jokingly called us traitors against the country, 'Rajakar' for even suggesting that.

For context, 'Rajakar' is a word universally hated among all Bangladeshis, because they were traitors who killed their own countrymen during the great war. But now...

'You and Me, What are we? Rajakar, Rajakar!' has become the very slogan of this movement. The word that we hated is the thing they called us... So be it...

July 15th, midnight. We went out of our dorms and held a nationwide strike. Thousands of students joined the demonstration, in the witching hour when we're supposed to be busy pulling hair thinking about our assignments and group projects.

But...

July 16th..

In hopes of the government hearing our pleas, we went out again during the day time. We were demonstrating peacefully, unarmed. Out of nowhere, a student hit another student in the head with a large baton.. Yes, a student.

That was the beginning.

An army of armed students with helmets on their head marched in. The government sponsored dogs... I mean political party, (I refuse to call them humans) 'Chatro League' (or Student League) mercilessly jumped on us with weapons and helmets. They used baton, pipe, rods, knives, swords an even guns on us, the unarmed peaceful protesters.

They weren't alone in the attack.

A grenade and tear shell exploded in the midst of the escaping protesters. Shots of rubber bullets were fired. Many of our comrades were captured and killed.

The dogs were sent alongside the wolves. They were royally accompanied by the local Police and the Army.

Five people were officially reported to be killed that day, but that's bullshit... I literally watched a brother getting repeatedly slashed and chopped in the neck with a heavy long sword (I don't know what it's called in English). Even after he collapsed, they kept chopping, swearing and laughing... Note, they were the same students attending the same university.

The cruelty didn't stop there. The wounded were admitted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment. They direly needed medical attention. But the subhuman dogs barged inside to hospital and wrecked havoc among the patients. The weak, wounded, harmless patients.

July 17th..

The whole country became a warzone. Students began to fight back and retaliating. That's why the psychopathic government made a heinous plan. Army and Border Guard Bangladesh members were called on all educational campuses throughout the country. The whole day was a mixture of clash between the groups. But the plan was in the middle of the night.

They barricaded the dormitory and installed network jammers. An invisible dome of despair was created over Dhaka University, and was detached from all sorts of outside communications. The army marched inside the rooms...

...

Eye witnesses reported seeing a ambulance heading directly toward the graveyard.

The geezers are the enemies of our nation. They're trying the break us, the foundation of the future, so that they can eat at their luxurious apartments for one day more.

This is the reality we're living in. Bangladesh is not a meme. Not a peaceful county. It's a warzone.

This is the story of heroes who will never be addressed.. who will be forgotten by the world. This is my story.

Farewell.. See you guys in the future... I hope.

 I hope
