Over a hundred years ago, the human race faced extinction due to the appearance of its "natural enemy."

The humans who somehow managed to survive constructed three immense walls, one inside the other. And thus, they won a hundred years of peace.

However, five years ago... That peace came to an end.

The Colossus Titan destroyed the gate and the titans, released from a hundred years of hunger, laid waste to the human race again.

The humans abandoned their outermost wall. Twenty percent of the population and a third of their domain was lost.

The human race was forced to fall back behind the second wall.

However, at the same time, humanity awakened.

And so, five years later... The Survey Corps, unafraid of the titans, attempts to blaze a oath beyond the wall.

Humanity has concentrated in the corps its fund, its best people, and its hopes.

"Here they come! It's the Survey Corps' Main Force!"

The Survey Corps has planned to come and recapture the outermost wall.

"Commander Erwin! Please drive the titans away!"

The townspeople yelled and screamed, and cheered for them as they slowly ride their horses out towards the gate.

Y/n, Mikasa, and Armin were in the crowd, staring at them as they cheered.

Y/n: Look, it's Captain Levi. The Strongest soldier alive. I heard he's as strong as an entire brigade.

Levi: ...

He gives them a stinking side-eye.

Levi: Noisy brats...

The woman with the goggles beside him speaks up, Hange Zoë.

Hange: Those kids and their envious looks... If only they knew what a clean freak you are, it'd burst their bubble...

"The gate's opening! From here on, it's titan territory!"

One yells out as the main gate of Trost Districy opens up.

"We'll recapture the town that was stolen from us five years ago!"

The Survey Corps rode their horses slowly, out of Trost, making sure they save the horses' energy for the trip.

This Survey Corps given this duty included humanity's brightest.

Their ready wits have improved the survival rate of the Survey Corps dramatically.

But even now, when troops are sent into titan territory, the casualty rate is over thirty percent.

That's how much stronger titans are than humans.

In the small abandoned town in Wall Maria, we now see a titan having a soldier half eaten in its mouth.

The soldier stabs the titan in its right eye with his last blade.

Soldier: Just you watch... One day... One of these days... Humans... Are gonna destroy you... The human race will be the survivors... In the end... You are all... Nothing... To Captain Levi...

As the titan bites down on his abdomen, a blur goes the titan's nape, revealing it to be Levi who has successfully killed the titan.

The soldier smiled, relieved that Levi and the others had finally arrived.

The titan falls to the grounds, and Levi lands on a roof. He scouts the area.

Levi thoughts: One on the right... Two on the left...

A girl lands behind him, Petra Ral.

Petra: Captain! I've gathered reinforcements!

Levi: Petra! Look after the soldiers below! Whoever's left, send them after the one on the right! I'll clean up on the left!

Petra: Eh...?!

Levi quickly jumps off as he propels himself up, towards the two titans.

Levi: You all have such interesting faces!

He flies past the first titan and it follows pursuit, but the wire caught its neck and it allowed Levi to fly towards its nape and slash it.

He jumps off the first one and he throws his blades into the eyes of the second one, blinding it as it groans and covers its eyes.

Levi lands on its head and he attaches a pair of blades into his hand grips.

Levi: Whoa... Keep still... If you don't, I'll never get a clean cut of your flesh.

He jumps off of its head and dives down towards its back, slicing its nape quickly and landing on the roof.

He looks at his bloodied hand.

Levi: Tsk. Got it all dirty. Damn it.

He shakes the blood off his hands, and he flies back doen to the ground.

Levi: Hey... Petra, what's his condition?!

Petra was on the ground, trying to resuscitate a fallen soldier who is barely alive.

Petra: Captain... The bleeding won't stop.

The soldier looks at Levi and reaches for him as he kneels down next to him.

Soldier: W-Was I... Of use... To the human... Race...? Or am I... Gonna die... Useless...?

Levi didn't hesitate in grabbing his bloodied hand.

Levi: You've done more than enough... And you'll do more. The resolve you leave behind will give me strength. I swear to you... I will eradicate the titans!!

Petra: Captain... He's... Gone...

Levi: ...Did he hear me to the end?

Petra: Yes... I'm sure he heard you.

The soldier, lied lifelessly on the ground, having a peaceful expression as he died.

Petra: I mean... He looks like he's sleeping peacefully.

Levi: Good, then...

The Commander of the Survey Corps, calls out to Levi. His name is Erwin Smith.

Erwin: Levi! We're retreating.

Levi: Retreating...?! We haven't even made it to the border! You mean my troops died in vain? I'm sure you have a good reason for this.

Erwin: The titans are after the town! They've started moving northward as a group!

Levi and Petra were shocked by the news.

Erwin: It's just like five years ago. Something's happening in the town. They may have broken through the wall!
