Lan Wangji's head throbbed as he slowly looked around, the familiar place making his vision swim. The oppressive walls of the Demon-Subdue Cave loomed around him, their dark surfaces seeming to pulse with a malevolent energy.

A chilling sensation crept over him as he took in his surroundings, the oppressive silence broken only by the distant drip of water echoing through the cavern.

He tried to move, but his body felt heavy and unresponsive and he couldn't feel his spiritual power; it was as if it had been completely drained from him.

The bitter taste of the liquid Su She had made him drink still lingered in his mouth, a cruel reminder of his current weakness.

As he fought to steady himself, he realized that he was in the middle of a meticulously drawn magic circle, its intricate lines and symbols glowing faintly with a sinister energy showing that it was already mended.

As he kept looking around, Lan Wangji's eyes suddenly widened when they caught the sight of Lan Sizhui sprawled on the cave floor, pale and trembling as he weakly crawled towards the door while clutching his side. Blood seeped through his fingers, staining his white robe a dark crimson.

"Sizhui..." Lan Wangji's voice was a strained whisper, filled with a mix of relief and fear. His heart pounded in his chest as he watched his disciple struggle to move.

At the sound of his name, Lan Sizhui slowly turned his head, his eyes widening in shock and relief.

"Ha... Hanguang Jun..." he weakly called out, his voice barely audible as he trembled with pain and exhaustion.

Desperately, Lan Wangji pushed himself to his feet and attempted to head towards his junior disciple, the world spinning slightly as he tried to regain his balance. His muscles ached, and his limbs felt like lead, but he forced himself to stand.

However, his strength failed him, and he weakly fell back to the ground, as a wave of dizziness washing over him.

A soft, sinister laugh broke through the silence. Su She stood before him, with a look of amusement on his face.

His eyes gleamed with a twisted satisfaction as he watched Lan Wangji struggle to stand.

"It's no use, Hanguang Jun," Su She said, his voice dripping with condescension as he slowly knelt down, his movements deliberate and menacing.

"You shouldn't force yourself... It's not good for your delicate body." He added as he slowly traced his finger along Lan Wangji's jawline.

Ignoring Su She's taunts, Lan Wangji's gaze hardened as he looked away, focusing on Sizhui's plight.

The sight of his disciple's pain, fueled a deep anger within him, boiling beneath the surface like a tempest ready to erupt.

Su She's smile widened, his expression a mix of triumph and obsession. "Still so stubborn," he mocked, his voice a low, dangerous whisper as he slowly stood up.

He picked up a chain that lay nearby, its presence suggesting a planned and premeditated cruelty.

Without hesitation, Su She approached Sizhui and aggressively dragged him towards a pillar, making the young disciple wince in pain as he struggled weakly against his injuries.

Su She pushed him down, forcing him to sit before chaining his feet forcefully. The cold metal bit into Sizhui's flesh, drawing a pained gasp from him.

Lan Wangji's eyes blazed with fury as he watched Su She's callous act.

"Release him," he demanded, his voice icy with restrained anger. Each word was a testament to the storm raging within him.

Su She merely chuckled, unfazed by Lan Wangji's glare. "Why should I?" he taunted, his voice laced with malice as he turned his attention back to Lan Wangji. "You're in no position to make demands... Besides, he will be a nuisance for the two of us."
