I felt a mix of tension and excitement as my higher secondary years were about to begin tomorrow - new school, new coaching center, new friends, and a whole new life. Although nervous, the thought that my school journey would end in just two years filled me with anticipation.

My school, set to open on May 6th, coincided with the start of classes at my new coaching center, Hertz Academy. Yesterday, I enrolled in both Hertz Academy and Haven High. Walking with my parents towards Hertz, where I was to finalize my admission, I glimpsed a group of people practicing dance moves. Among them was a striking boy with dark, flowing hair, dressed in a white hoodie, blue jeans, and sneakers, his eyes captivating even behind a black mask. Before I could ponder his identity, my mom called me over to where she was chatting with my old friend from 1st grade, now in a different stream, named Amara.

Amara, noticing my love for dancing, invited me to join their team for an upcoming event, which I eagerly agreed to. After securing admission, we left Hertz, but downstairs, my mom realized she'd left her phone and sent me back. There, I encountered the mysterious boy again, preparing to leave. In my haste, I asked him to move, our bodies brushing briefly. His presence lingered in my thoughts as I wondered about his name, his stream, and which school he attended.

Back home, I couldn't shake thoughts of him. I texted my close online friend Isabella, Isabella Matthews about my nerves regarding starting classes at Hertz the next day. I wanted her to come but her house was so far from the school. While talking, I told her about the boy and was nervous to go to class. She reassured me, urging an early night's sleep.

I woke at 7 am, feeling nervous about taking the bus for the first time to reach my 9 am class. After a tense wait, I arrived and was warmly welcomed by two girls who invited me to sit with them. My mind, however, kept drifting back to the boy. Just as I was lost in thoughts, I saw him entering the class and took a seat in the front row, surprising and exhilarating me. He was wearing a black sweat shirt and a cream pant pairing with the mask. I was wondering what was underneath that mask.

Throughout the class, I couldn't help but notice his every move, realizing he was not only attractive but also academically sharp. After class, I stayed as Amara had suggested, meeting Harriet Monroe, the dance team's choreographer She seemed
really nice. To my delight, the boy was there too. Struggling to recall where I'd seen him before, I finally overheard someone call him "Ace".It dawned on me that he might be Ace Hamilton, who had been in online classes with me during COVID.

After the practice, I decided to follow my instincts and summoning my courage, I approached him after practice and confirmed his identity.

Athena: "Hey are you Ace Hamilton who used to be in online classes of Crystal academy during covid?"
He just nodded his head

Despite his initial cold demeanor, we bonded as we left the institute, deciding to enjoy the rain without umbrellas because the vibe was so good...and i couldn't help but to notice his close relationship with Harriet. They're always together which occasionally stirred jealousy in me, though i brushed it off.
