I'm sorry it's been a while since I posted, here is a longer chapter to make up for it.
Michael woke up to Ashton telling him that the roads were closed and that they had to miss a couple days of their tournament.
Michael didn't even care, he didn't like soccer that much. He was also too exhausted to go since he only got one or two hours of sleep because of last night.
He didn't know what to think of last night... Even though he was never really scared or believed in the supernatural, he knew he definitely saw something, or did he?
He was confusing himself, maybe the woman's story got to him and it was all part of his imagination. The paranoia was killing him, he was on edge all night last night.
I tried not to think about it too much and tried not to scare himself.
He got out of bed and headed into the bathroom where he brushed his teeth and took a cold shower. After his shower he dug threw his backpack trying to find a tee shirt and black jeans he could wear that day.
all of his clothes were wrinkly and smelt of sweat, but he managed to find a shirt and pants that didn't smell "as bad".
Michael exited his room and went down to the lobby to try to find Ashton, and maybe get something to eat, he was starving.
Michael felt a little uneasy searching alone at this hotel, he tried to walk as quick as he could down the hallways and stairs.
He suddenly stopped in his tracks as he saw a big group of boys huddled in a circle.
He knew they were from his team so he went up to the group, looking over shoulders to see what the big deal was.
"Michael!" someone tugged at him from behind.
It was Ashton."What the hell is this about?" Michael questioned signaling to the frantic group of people in front of him.
"No one told you?" Ashton said with heavy breaths.
Michael shook his head.
" Well, do you know Brandon? He's was our team."
Was on the team? Last time Michael remembered, Brandon was sitting across from them on the bus here.
"Yeah...?" Michael cocked his head in confusion
"He died last night, right here."
Ashton gestured to the middle of the crowded area.Michael's eyes widened gazing upon the lifeless body a few feet away from them. He shoved a couple of boys out of the way so he could get a look at him.
Blood Soaked through the boy's shirt, he was still and pale, his expression froze having wide eyes and a frown across the face.
What the hell happened to him? The boy was perfectly fine, he was the most fit on the team.
It couldn't be due to medical issues, you weren't allowed to play if you had any.Michael just didn't get it, he was very shocked to see him dead. His stomach ached, he didn't want to be there anymore, he just wanted to go home.
" I was actually the one that heard his death scream, It was right outside my door." Michael heard someone say from behind him.
"did you see what happened?" Another boy asked.
"Nah, I just got there right when he hit the ground... he actually banged into the wall a couple of times though."
"Out of my way!" The couch jogged to the dead boy shoving people to the side. He kneeled down and lifted up his torso, examining the shirt with stains of blood.
"What happened!" the man raged, standing up and looking at the team. " What killed him?" He bellowed.
The crowd grew silent, possibly there was killer on the team, or it could be something else... Michael wasn't quite sure.
"Where are the people that work here?" The coach asked.
"We couldn't find them anywhere they are gone."
"They can't be gone, huh ... you know what I'm calling the cops or an ambulance, or something." The coach turns on his phone.
"Coach there is no signal here, we are out in the middle of no where, plus the roads are closed, and the police station is all the way back in town.
"Fuck." The man mumbled
Michael glanced at the lifeless body, there were a mix of scratches and knife marks all over his body.
The scratches had to have come from an animal, but it also looked like a human physically stabbed him.
Michael has never seen anything like this before."What is wrong with this motel..." Michael asked himself
-
That night after all the commotion over Brandon, the owners of the motel finally showed up saying that "they were here the whole time." Michael knew for a fact that they were lying and hiding something from their customers since Ashton was with the group that looked for them and he swore that he looked everywhere.Since there was no communication outside of the motel, the owner suggested to burry the body in the woods behind the building.
They had the funeral last night, it was honesty the worst thing to attend. the whole time Michael was there he felt so bad that Brandon's Parents had no idea what was happening and that their son is now dead.
Standing out there in the dark, he had a very eerie feeling. it was raining hard, everyone was soaked and miserable, but the coach forced them to stand there and stay for the burial. the wind was howling threw the trees almost sounding like a moan. Everyone held a flashlight in their hand so they could see because without it it would be pitch black out there, with only the distant flickering light of the motel sign.
