Darkness consumed her wholly, it being the only thing around for her to see. The vast realm of her slumber was unusually dark, giving her little to nothing to look at.
Her usual dreams consisted of images, or scenarios, that she could observe, but this was unlike any dream she'd ever had before. Besides the one she had when she was asleep for two centuries. It unnerved her greatly, fearing that she was once again in that awfully cold and lonely crypt, forced to lay in that coffin again for who knows how long. She could feel her heart beating frantically, despite still being asleep, it yearned for her to wake up, to save herself from the stressful situation she was in.
Just when she was about to feel her consciousness return to her, she heard faint voices in the distance, voices that slowly but surely became louder, becoming clear instead of the faint murmurs she couldn't quite work out.
''Who are you?'' A tight, masculine voice—laced with accusation, became clear to the witch. It didn't sound like anyone she knew, but she did recognise his accent, as it was exactly like hers.
Before she could study the echoing voice, another broke through the dark silence.
''Who am I—you're the one breaking and entering into my room and you're asking me who I am!?'' A female spoke this time, her voice silvery, yet frustrated, also adorning an English accent━━wait a second.
It was her own voice.
A loud melody broke her from her slumber, startling her into waking up. She peered around in confusion until she remembered where exactly she was.
Extreme and utter fatigue sent Juniper into a deep sleep as soon as she landed in the large queen-sized bed inside of her newly acquired room at the Salvatore Boarding house.
After everything that transpired the night before at the masquerade ball, Juniper no longer had any place to stay. When finding this out because he asked her where she was going after the whole debacle, Stefan insisted on her staying at the boarding house, seeing as they had more than enough room for her and that she had done more than enough to deserve it, according to him. Damon reluctantly agreed. He might not have shown it too well, but he too, was thankful for Juniper. You won't catch him saying that out loud though.
The kindness of the youngest Salvatore was something she hadn't presumed nor expected. His offer made her feel stunned, she remembered how her eyes widened and how her heart skipped a beat when he did. She didn't quite know she felt, only knowing that the warmth that filled her heart was a nice change to the cold distance she felt from her family.
