Juniper hesitantly stepped inside of the Mystic Grill, peering around the bustling café with fleeting eyes as she tensely held her arms around herself.
The witch had been invited by Bonnie and Caroline to 'hang out' and talk with them there, but when she eyed the inhabitants of the café she couldn't find them anywhere. Was she too early? Did she get the date wrong? Did—she took a deep breath in an attempt to calm down, softly shaking her head at an attempt to calm her nerves.
Caroline texted her in the morning; asking her if she wanted to have lunch with them at the Grill, to chat and get to know each other. Juno almost immediately accepted the offer, quite excited to spend time with someone other than the two brooding Salvatore brothers.
Not that she was going to hang out with them today anyways as Damon was going to Richmond with Rose to meet with a friend of hers who apparently knew more about this Klaus person she spoke of, and Stefan was supposedly going to spend time with Elena.
Not to mention that the obvious tension between the eldest brother and Rose-marie were almost unbearable to witness, and Juniper was not in the mood to be third wheeling (*Which was a new term that Elena taught her).
But now the witch was starting to doubt herself. She couldn't see the two girls anywhere and she was getting overwhelmed by the amount of people talking around her and walking closely past her. She hadn't liked the Mystic Grill the first time she was there, and she didn't like it now, especially not when the fleeting touches of strangers rushing past her made her recoil in discomfort.
In a booth a bit further away from the entrance where Juniper was standing; Alaric was observing the pale-haired witch that had entered the Grill. He was on a date with Jenna Sommers, but he couldn't help and notice her looking around cluelessly, a nervous frown adorning her pale face.
He was wondering why the girl was here all alone and was uncertain if he should step in to help her, she wasn't used to all of this, after all. ''Who is that?" His observation was interrupted by a curious Jenna who was also looking at the girl before turning to Ric, her head tilted in question.
''She uh, she's a friend of Elena and the others—I think. . .'' he quickly answered, stuttering when trying to come up with an accurate response. Jenna's eyebrows knitted briefly before glancing back at the girl.
''Really? I've never seen her around before.'' The man beside her just shrugged with a strained smile. ''She's probably just waiting for someone. . .'' ''Well she's looking a bit lost, let's go over to her!''
