Regaining Amrit

The Veilguardians gathered in the dimly lit war room, the atmosphere heavy with urgency. The defeat of Morbius seemed within reach, but the presence of Amrit, once a trusted ally and now a puppet of darkness, cast a long shadow over their hopes.

Pragyan, with a determined look on his face, knew what had to be done. The bond he shared with Amrit was more than just a friendship; it was a brotherhood forged through countless battles and shared dreams. Pragyan felt responsible for saving Amrit from Morbius's grasp, and he was willing to risk everything to bring his friend back.

"We need to bring Amrit back," Pragyan said, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "He's not just another soldier in this fight. He's our friend, and we can't abandon him to the darkness."

Arnav, a fellow Veilguardian who had proven himself in numerous battles, stepped forward. "I don't know Amrit like you do, but I've seen what the bonds of friendship can do. I'll stand by you, Pragyan, whatever it takes."

The plan was simple yet perilous: they would confront Amrit in a place of significance to his past, a place where memories and emotions ran deep—the ancient ruins where the Veilguardians had trained together. The goal was to isolate Amrit from Morbius's dark energy, creating a safe space where Pragyan could reach out to him without the interference of dark magic.

The journey to the ancient ruins was swift but tense. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and old magic. The ruins, once majestic, now lay in a state of serene decay, vines and moss reclaiming the stone structures. It was here that Pragyan and Amrit had forged their bond, trained in the arts of light and defense, and shared dreams of a world free from darkness.

As Pragyan and Arnav approached the center of the ruins, they saw Amrit standing alone, his back turned to them. His posture was rigid, his aura tainted with the unmistakable darkness of Morbius's influence. The once warm and friendly presence was now cold and foreboding.

"Amrit," Pragyan called out, his voice echoing through the silent ruins.

Amrit turned slowly, his eyes glinting with a mixture of recognition and resistance. "Pragyan," he said, his voice a low growl. "You should not have come here."

"I came because I care about you," Pragyan said, stepping forward. "This isn't you, Amrit. Morbius has twisted your mind."

Amrit's eyes narrowed. "Morbius showed me the truth. He gave me power, purpose."

"Morbius uses you," Pragyan countered. "He twists your mind to serve his ends. The Amrit I know would never align with such darkness."

Pragyan and Arnav approached cautiously, their hearts heavy with the weight of the task. They knew that words alone might not be enough. They had to reach Amrit on a deeper level, beyond the surface where Morbius's dark influence held sway.

"Do you remember our training here?" Pragyan asked, gesturing to the ruins around them. "We dreamed of protecting the world, of standing together against any threat. Morbius has poisoned those dreams."

Amrit's expression flickered with something akin to doubt, but the darkness quickly reasserted itself. "Those were childish dreams. Morbius has given me true power."

"Power at the cost of your soul," Pragyan said. "Think about what you've lost, Amrit. Your true self is buried beneath this darkness."

Amrit's eyes flashed with anger. "Enough!" he roared, summoning dark energy around him. "If you will not join me, then you are my enemies."
