The next morning, Harry woke up with a sense of determination. He knew that he wanted to be with Cassiopeia, but he also knew that it wouldn't be easy. Their friendship had to remain a secret, especially with the tensions between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
During Defense Against the Dark Arts, Professor Umbridge assigned a group project. Harry was paired with Cassiopeia, much to the surprise of their classmates. As they sat together, Harry could feel the eyes of his friends and enemies alike on them.
"Let's get started," Cassiopeia said, opening her textbook. "We need to research defensive spells and write a report."
Harry nodded, trying to ignore the stares. "Right. I think we should focus on practical applications, not just theory."
Cassiopeia smiled. "I agree. Let's meet in the library after dinner?"
"Sounds good," Harry replied, feeling a sense of excitement.
That evening, they met in the library and began their research. They worked well together, complementing each other's strengths. Harry was impressed by Cassiopeia's knowledge and her ability to think critically.
As they worked, they talked about their lives and their families. Harry learned that Cassiopeia had always felt overshadowed by Draco and pressured by her parents to follow in their footsteps. She admired Harry's bravery and his commitment to doing what was right, even when it was difficult.
Harry, in turn, shared his own struggles and fears. He told her about the prophecy and the burden he felt as the Chosen One. Cassiopeia listened with empathy and understanding, offering words of comfort and encouragement.
Their project brought them closer together, and Harry found himself looking forward to their study sessions. He began to see Cassiopeia not just as a friend, but as someone he could confide in and trust.
One evening, as they were finishing their report, Cassiopeia looked at Harry with a serious expression. "Harry, I want to join Dumbledore's Army."
Harry was taken aback. "Are you sure? It's dangerous, and if your family finds out..."
Cassiopeia nodded. "I know the risks. But I believe in what you're doing. I want to help."
Harry felt a surge of gratitude and admiration. "Alright. I'll talk to Hermione and arrange a meeting."
As they walked back to their common rooms, Harry couldn't help but feel hopeful. With Cassiopeia by his side, he felt stronger and more determined to face the challenges ahead.
