Chapter 9

<Lyla> POV

Beep.... Beep.... Beep

I grabbed my phone and checked the time, 3:55. I checked my messages. I have one from Jeffrey. He texted me this morning at 1:23 saying.

Hello beautiful I made it home I know its early but just wanted to let you know.

That's probably what motivated me to get out of bed. I texted back and said.

Thanks... Now get some sleep okay =)

I went to my closet and grabbed a pair of skinny capris and a pink and black t shirt. I went into the bathroom and changed then came back out and grabbed my makeup out of my suitcase.

I never unpacked last night or ate.

I put mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick on. I went downstairs and got some orange juice. I brought the glass upstairs and sat on my bed. I saw Chance, our bear, in front of me on my suitcase. I looked down at my hand and saw I was still wearing the ring. I left it on and drank the rest of my orange juice. I sat the glass on my dresser and went to grab some shoes. I grabbed some pink flip flops and walked back downstairs to put my glass up. I put my cup in the sink and grabbed a apple. I ate the apple while going back upstairs to get my bag. I put my bag on my back, grabbed my phone, then went into my brothers room and gave him a kiss on the head. I walked back downstairs and walked out the door, grabbed my bike, and drove off. I left a little early today but oh well. I stopped at a Quick Trip to get some mints.

"Hmm" I said.

I grabbed mints and walked to the counter. I saw a paper on a billboard that said.

Hmm I could look into that. I grabbed one of the slips at the bottom that had the number on it and slid it into my pocket. I put the mints on the counter.

"97 cents please" The cashier said.

I handed her a one dollar bill and she gave me 3 cents. I put the three cents in a jar for some little girl. I walked out and put a mint in my  mouth before getting back on my bike. I peddled to the pet shop. I pulled up and got off my bike. I unlocked the door and walked in.

Ding

My phone went off. I checked it and it was a message from Jeffrey. Its only 5 in the morning... Wait its 6 there..

J=Jeffrey L=Lyla

J= Hey... I miss you already =(

L= I miss you too but why are you up so early...

J= I cant sleep... Why are you up so early?

L= Its 5 here... Because I have to work

J= Wowza... Why do you need to work if you've already met me hah

L= I need it for my mom and brother... My mom cant work

J= Oh okay.. How much do you get a month?

L= I got more in the past because everyone knew I wanted to meet you... now probably 100 dollars

J= Wow

L= Ehh.. I need to work but I can text you later..

J= Okay and maybe we can Oovoo?

L= Sure haha

I put my phone down and turned some music on. I grabbed the broom and started to sweep.

Ring Ring

The door opened and I turned my head to see Casey. I ran and gave her a hug.

"I was wondering when you would be back" Casey said.
