_Jennie strolled through the packed courtyard of her high school, dodging groups of chattering students who were buzzing with excitement over the arrival of a new student. She didn’t really get the hype, but it definitely made her curious.
As she moved closer to where everyone seemed to be gathering, she picked up on the buzz in the air. Students were whispering to each other, speculating about who this new student might be and what they’d be like.
A little knot of unease formed in Jennie's stomach as she realized she didn’t know much about the newcomer either. But now, surrounded by all these eager faces, she couldn’t help but feel a little bit curious herself.
Finally, the school bell rang, marking the start of the day. As students started to scatter and head to their classes, the courtyard fell silent when a figure came out of the school entrance.
Jennie’s eyes went wide when she saw the new student. She looked totally unique, her skin was pale, and her hair sparkled silver, glowing in the sunlight. She was breathtaking, tall, slim, cute, and just plain gorgeous. Jennie's eyes followed her as she moved with an almost magical grace, like she was floating instead of walking.
The new student scanned the crowd, noticing all the curious looks and excited whispers. Jennie could see a hint of uncertainty in her eyes, as if she wasn’t sure how everyone would react. She felt a strong urge to go over and get to know the newcomer.
Without really thinking, Jennie stepped up, pushing her way through the crowd until she was right in front of the new girl. She looked up into the girl's striking eyes and flashed her a warm smile.
"Hey, I'm Jennie," she said, reaching out her hand to greet her. "Welcome to our school."
The new girl seemed surprised for a second, but then a smile slowly broke across her face. She reached out and shook Jennie's hand, her touch cool and tingly against Jennie's skin.
"Thanks! I'm Lisa," she replied softly.
Jennie felt a little flutter at hearing her name. Lisa. It totally fit her, she thought.
"You have a cool name!" Jennie said, smiling at Lisa, who smiled back.
"I like yours too; it's cute!" Lisa said, making Jennie chuckle softly.
"So where are you from, Lisa?" Jennie asked, looking up at Lisa's big smile.
"I'm from Thailand. I just moved here about a week ago with my family," Lisa said casually.
Jennie raised her eyebrows. "Oh, I kinda figured from your accent that you weren't local, but honestly, you're really good at speaking Korean!" Jennie said with admiration.
Lisa let out a soft snort, "Yeah, thanks!"
As they stood there chatting, it felt like a connection was forming between them. Jennie couldn't quite explain it, but it seemed like she had known Lisa for way more than just a few moments.
While they headed to their first class together, Jennie couldn't help but notice how Lisa stood out from the other students. She had this captivating presence. no wonder! Lisa was seriously the most beautiful girl around, and her vibe was drawing curious glances from everyone they passed. Plus, it was rare for Jennie to bond with someone new like this.
"So, uh...?" Lisa asked awkwardly, trying to grab Jennie's attention, since all the intense stares from the other students were making her feel super uncomfortable.
Jennie finally turned to Lisa and gave her a little smile. "Umm... Lisa, c-can we be friends from now on...?" Jennie said.
"Of course, only if you want to!" she quickly added. Deep down, she really wanted to be friends with Lisa for reasons she couldn't totally figure out just yet.
Lisa chuckled at Jennie’s cuteness. "You're so adorable! Of course I’d love to, Jennie. Friends?" Lisa said, holding out her pinky. Jennie grinned and wrapped her pinky around Lisa's. "Friends!" Jennie exclaimed.
Luckily, they were in the same class, which made them even more excited, and their curiosity about each other just kept growing.
Throughout the day, Jennie found herself drawn to Lisa, looking for her during breaks and lunch. She listened intently as Lisa shared stories about her fantastic world.
The more time Jennie spent with Lisa, the more she learned about her. Lisa’s presence brought a wave of happiness.
