UNCERTAIN LOVE
Madison rose from her seat after packing her belongings when the last bell rang and rushed to Jimin's row so she could help him in his since Jackson was absent."That was easier than expected," he said, drawing her closer to him with a smile on his face. She nodded gracefully, returning the smile. One could tell just by looking at them that they were deprived of sleep and needed rest.
"Heyyyyy, how did the thesis go?" Chelly shouted from the door post. She, Mia and Baekhyung had written the exam in the class adjacent to theirs, while Jimin, Madison, Taehyung and the cheerleaders stayed in their class.
"Great, I'm a little sore and need rest." Lazily the curly-haired lady dragged her feet to her side, hugging her at once. Just then, the couple arrived as they giggled among themselves.
"Aren't you guys ready to go home?" The lady asked, looking confused and uninterested in whatever she saw. Just as the four friends bid farewells to their mates, Helly and Seo Jun secluded themselves from their group and went ahead to sit in the first row, joining their feet to form a barrier. That caught Madison's attention when she spoke with her new male friend, she stuttered over to their backs, pulling their chairs backwards to the ground. The ladies fell with a loud thud. With that she strode away to the school gate, leaving her friends behind without saying another word. Her head felt heavy every time she left the school premises, it was as if her soul was tied to her class but not in a good way. After what happened a month ago with Taehyung, she was not at ease.
"Mimi, are you alright?" She was questioned, not knowing how best to answer. She ignored her best friend and turned to face the others, asking them a question instead.
"Does anyone want to come over for a movie night?" They all halted in their tracks.
" Sweetie, I'm so sorry, this gentleman and myself have a date to plan for tonight." The ginger-haired lady announced, pointing to her beloved. Mimi's heart shattered when she heard that, but she quickly brushed it under the carpet in hopes of getting someone to spend the night with.
"Well, my parents are out of town, and I've been required to visit my grandparents this weekend." Her only rescuer had bailed on her also. She felt a sharp pain in her head, causing her to shut her eyes tightly for some time. Jimin moved to her side when he noticed her action.
"I - I can-..."
"It's alright Jimin, I understand." The poor guy gazed at her, perplexed by her response . Madison waved a 'bye' at her friends and went ahead to the alleyway that led to her house. Her male friend had sensed the bitterness and disappointment that hung on her face as he stopped to watch her walk home.
"Jimin, are you coming?"
"Ye-yeah" he replied, running to catch up with them.

4 HOURS LATERThe house felt empty as Mimi ventured to do everything to keep her active. She tried starting a weekend cleanup exercise but gave up half way feeling more exhausted, so she settled on the couch with a book in hand but could not focus. Her eyes averted from the letters written in the book to the door when she heard the bell ring.
Not expecting a visitor at that late hour, she reluctantly went to open the door.
"Jimin? What are you doing here?" Madison interrogated with a confused mind. The petit male broke into laughter seeing how her eyebrows were kneaded together, almost colliding.
"Can I at least come in?" He asked, not answering her. Feeling ashamed, she led the way to the lounge before excusing herself to the kitchen where he sat on the two people's couch.
"Here you go.".
"That's sweet of you, thanks." The lad placed the glass on the table after taking a sip from it.
"So.... What brings you here?" The lady asked again, making herself comfy on the couch at his side.
"I could leave if you don't need me." With that, he dropped the gift bag on his seat and went out without another word. Madison looked stiffened in her seat, her body sat erect and upright since she heard the door shut behind her.
In her mind, she had contemplated her actions and words since his arrival. 'Was she not happy he came back after what happened? Did she say something offensive that drove him away?' During their brief moment she swore he looked tranquil, so what changed?
On the other hand, Jimin could not explain what he felt when he walked out of her door. It was about time she realized he was there to stay both on good and bad days. It felt like she did not care for him like the way he did. He had thought about her throughout the night that he had deserted the most important meeting of his life to be with her at that hour and all she could say was what brought him here? There was no way she would have said that to him, Taehyung, and though she said she loved him not, he was sure she had lied to him.
At quarter past 11, Madison found herself alone on the streets. She inspected every alleyway or parking lot in the area in search of the blue-haired lad who wore beige and brown attire. Almost giving up the search when she got to the last parking lot on her right, she recognized the said lad sitting in his car.
"J-jimin! KIM JIMIN PLEASE DON'T GO!" Shouting at the top of her voice, the curly-haired lady sped towards the car as it drove away, but neither the vehicle nor its owner came to a halt.
