"Cras es noster"
- Tomorrow, be ours
☾ ☾ ☾"Hey Yeosang, do you know where-"
Aeris was making her way towards the infirmary, eyes flitting across the open doors that led her to lock eyes with Jongho and Yunho, who sat on the bed together- cross legged on the ruffled sheets that contained splotches of red while Jongho continued to apply the bandage onto Yunho's arm.
"Down the hall-" the injured boy supplied an answer with ahiss of his breath, nodding his head in direction of the deck.
"But he's busy" Jongho continued, lips pursed as his hair flopped over his eyes as he carefully continued to do the medical work. "San managed to get a wound on his shoulder-"
"Its bad" Wooyoung popped his head out the doorway, a scared expression on his face as he clutched onto a bottle of antiseptic and a bottle which he thrust hurriedly into Aeris's hands. "Can you give it to him?" He rushed, nodding in direction of the way she had come from and disappearing before she could give an answer.
"But-"
The flurry of motion disappeared back into a pained silence as she made her way towards Hongjoong's cabin. She didn't know why it suddenly seemed like such a delicate task, one which made her heart pound as she remembered the grin on his face as he had seen her- or the way he his shoulders had relaxed when she had come closer- the rasp of his voice as he had said her name or-
Her cheeks shouldn't burn like this, "what is going on with you?" it was a whisper to herself. Confusion knitting her eyebrows as she paused against the door.
Her thoughts ran wild- maybe the memory blankness had had its side effects, maybe she had hit her head- yes, she sighed. Yes. that is the reason for this mess of my head.
Maybe she should just knock on the door and leave- a sick patient, can treat another sick person. Aeris scratched her palm in a hurried rage, biting her lip and feeling the stray strand stuck to the back of her neck with unwavering precision when the door opened.
"Were you planning on coming in anytime soon or was I supposed to guess?"
Hongjoong leaned against the doorframe, supporting his injured leg and crossing his arms as Aeris felt the heat creep up her neck at his gaze.
"I was coming in," Calm and collected, calm and collected. "Until you opened the door-" she muttered pushing past him and entering the room- making her way towards his bedside as she heard the door click shut behind her.
Hongjoong followed quickly, sitting back down with a sharp intake of his breathe and watching as she rummaged through the swabs of cotton that Wooyoung had placed inside the bottle in a hurry.
Had she always had that scar on her right arm?
"Well excuse me for being a gentleman,"
"Well then you are excused" she huffed, shaking her head as her hair fell over her eyes. Lightly dabbing the antiseptic onto the cotton and turning around, raising it threateningly as the Captain raised an eyebrow. "Yeosang gave me this antiseptic to apply on the cuts-"
Aeris held it out expectantly- only for his hand to not come for it. Instead Hongjoong just watched, tilting his head and looking at her with a smirk that caused Aeris's insufferable heart to skip in a beat.
"Well then darling, what are you waiting for?" He drawled, shifting his weight back onto his palms that rested on the bed.
"I'm holding the swab darling, " she replied snarkily, "What more do you want me to do?"
