Unexpected meeting at home

One morning, Tarini woke up to the sound of footsteps in her kitchen. Confused and slightly alarmed, she quietly slipped out of bed and tiptoed down the stairs. As she turned the corner, she froze in surprise to see Yuvraj standing there, casually sipping coffee.

Tarini blinked, trying to process the sight. "Yuvraj? What are you doing here?"

Yuvraj turned with a charming grin. "Hey, good morning! Your brother let me crash here last night. Hope you don't mind."

Tarini's mind raced. Yuvraj, her brother's friend, in her house. She tried to keep her composure. "Um, no, it's fine. Just unexpected."

He chuckled softly, setting his mug down. "Your brother had to leave early for work. Figured I'd make myself useful and brew some coffee. Want some?"

Tarini hesitated, torn between the awkwardness of the situation and her lingering attraction to him. "Sure, thanks."

They sat at the kitchen table, a comfortable silence settling between them for a moment.

Yuvraj broke the quiet, his voice gentle. "You know, I've been thinking about our last few meetings. I really enjoy talking to you."

Tarini glanced up from her coffee, meeting his gaze. "Yeah, me too."

He leaned closer, his expression earnest. "I know things are a bit weird right now, but I'd like to spend more time with you. Maybe we could grab dinner sometime, just the two of us?"

Tarini shifted uncomfortably, unsure how to respond. "Yuvraj, you're my brother's friend. I don't think..."

He cut her off gently, his tone pleading. "I get it, but I can't stop thinking about you. There's something between us, isn't there?"

Tarini sighed, torn between her feelings and the complications of the situation. "Yuvraj, I... I need some time to figure this out."

He nodded, disappointment flickering across his face. "I understand. Just know that I really like you, Tarini."

With that, Yuvraj finished his coffee and left, leaving Tarini with a whirlwind of emotions.
