𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝗉𝗁𝗈𝖾𝗇𝗂𝗑， 𝖺𝗋𝗂𝗓𝗈𝗇𝖺 𝗃𝗎𝗅𝗒 𝟣𝟪， 𝟤𝟢𝟤𝟦
𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐗 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 center, ready to practice with aspiring young girls who want to be in the wnba. she had been in phoenix for a little over a day now, coming from her moms house in montana.
she walked into the open gym, seeing a group of young girls off to the side and a man who she would be teaching with. she walked over, going to put her stuff on the bleachers.
what paige didn't expect to see was a familiar girl sitting on the bleachers, texting away on her phone not even noticing paige's presence.
"gabs?" paige furrowed her brows.
at that, gabriella looked up from her spot on the bleachers. her face quickly broke into a smile as she got up and pulled paige into a hug.
paige hugged her back with an even bigger smile on her face. "what are you doing here? you're supposed to be upstate."
gabriella laughed. "i'm here because i have this softball workshop nearby and i heard from a little birdie that you would be here." that little birdie being azzi.
the two girls pulled away and paige made sure she was ready to start playing. "well how long are you staying? yk there's an after party type of thing tonight at the hotel for all the stars, you should come with me. i'm allowed to bring someone."
gabriella thought about it for a moment. "well, my workshop should be done around 3pm. but i would have to go shopping for some clothes because i don't have nice enough ones packed. what time does it start?"
"the event starts at 6pm but the party doesn't start until 7:30." paige answers.
"okay, i'll come. i have to go now though, so im not late." gabriella says. "pick me up at my hotel later, okay? i'll send you the address."
paige nods her head, giving gabriella another hug before she leaves. paige walked away from the bleachers to start playing while gabriella walked out to her rented car.
she got in and made the short drive to the facility where the softball practice would be taking place. once she got there, she went around back to the field and saw a bunch of young girls in similar clothing, all holding their gloves ready to start playing.
gabriella was technically the person running this event so she would be navigating all the girls and telling them what to do but also playing with them as well.
