After weeks of running from the law, bounty hunters, and bounty hunters. The wagons were pulled by horses. Dutch's wagon was pulled first. The people were freezing. As the winds from the snowstorm had just let out a low howl. Reverend Swanson was walking beside Dutch's wagon. The horses were neighing loudly as they pushed through the snow. "Abigail says he's dying, Dutch. We'll have to stop some place." The Reverend had spoke. He was shivering alot. You could tell. Dutch nodded his head as he glanced at him. "Okay. Arthur and Sky are out looking. I sent them up ahead." Dutch said. He held the reins. His black thick coat was over him, not even that could help him stay warm.

"If we don't stop soon, we'll all be dying." Hosea, a man around the age of 50 spoke. The Reverend had nodded his head. Swanson walked back to his wagon and hopped back on with Abigail in the back. Hosea looked at Dutch. "This weather, it's May..." Hosea spoke. He sighed. "I'm just hoping the law got as lost as we did." Before Hosea could finish Dutch interrupted him. Dutch pointed. "There. Arthur! Sky! Any luck?" Dutch asked with a slight holler in the snow. Sky (reader) and Arthur were on their horses. They gripped the reins. "We found a place where we can get some shelter. Let Davey rest while he... you know." Arthur spoke. He nodded his head as he turned the horse around. Sky was beside Arthur on her horse, a spotted blanket Appalosa. "It's an old abandoned mining town, it ain't far." Sky spoke through the winds of the snow. She rode her horse beside Arthur. The horses galloping through the snow. Dutch nodded his head in confirmation. "Come on!" Dutch yelled for the other gang members to hear.

After a good bit, everyone arrived at the old mining town. The mining place was near Lake Isabella. Everyone went into the cabins. They had fallen wood on some buildings. Hosea walked into a cabin, a lit lantern in his left hand as he held the door open. He checked the cabin for anything dangerous. "Bring him in here." He said. Snow was on his coat and hat. His eyes glanced around to make sure it was alright. He pushed a wooden table to make it more spacious. Bill entered the room with Arthur as the two men had carried Davey's body. Hosea placed a thin blanket down on the table. The men placed Davey down, Dutch had walked in the room. A lantern in his hand as well.

Abigail walked towards Davey as she sat beside him. Susan Grimshaw, a woman of her late 40s to early 50s. "Miss Gaskill... get that fire lit quick." She spoke in the background. Abigail looked at Davey. "Miss Jones, bring in whatever blankets we have left. Mr. Pearson, see what we've got left of food." Susan ordered. She held a lantern as well. Abigail stood beside Tilly and Abigail's son, Jack. "Davey's dead." She said. The Reverend looked at Davey's body. He placed two coins over his closed eyes. "There's nothing more we could have done." Swanson spoke. "What are we gonna do? We need supplies." Hosea said. He sat down and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, first of all you're gonna stay here.. and you're gonna get yourself warm. Now, I sent John and Micah scouting out ahead." Dutch spoke. He held the lantern. He sighed. "Arthur, Sky and I, we're gonna ride out and see if we can find one of 'em." Dutch spoke.

"In this weather?" Sky asked. Her voice horsed. She coughed. Arthur patted Sky's shoulder. "Just for a short bit, kid." Arthur muttered, trying to sound the most hopeful. "We don't have much choice." Dutch spoke. He looked at all of the members that were in the cabin. "Listen, all of you, for a moment. Now, we've had, well, a bad couple of weeks in the snow. I loved Davey, Jenny... Sean, Mac they may be okay, we don't know. We lost a few folk. Now, if I could.. throw myself in the ground in their stead... I would, gladly." Dutch continued to speak. Arthur glanced at Dutch. His blue thick fur-collared coat had snow on the shoulders. "But, we'll ride out. We'll find some food. We're safe for now. There ain't nobody following in through a storm like this one." Dutch said. He glanced at Sky and Arthur. He nodded his head as a signal to leave. He walked out of the cabin. Sky followed the two men. Her boots were deep in the snow. She was around the age of her early 20s. She walked towards her horse and mounted on it. Dutch got on his Albino horse, The Count, and Arthur got on a borrowed horse from Charles. Taima was the horse's name. Sky's horse was named Dina.
