What would your reaction be if the last person you wanted to see appeared directly in front of you? Surprised? Angry? Nervous? Our dear Joshua was on a roller coaster of emotions. He had left Seoul to escape his old life and returned hoping to turn a new page, free from a certain toxic individual. But, as always, life had its unexpected twists.

Joshua had forgotten that today was his first day at his new job. His mind was wholly consumed by Lee Seokmin, the first love of his life and the one who had shattered his fragile heart.

Nonetheless, Joshua maintained a grim demeanor. He was determined not to reveal his true self to someone who had never truly understood him.

He shot Seokmin a bitter stare, which was met with a softer one. Joshua turned a cold shoulder, treating Seokmin as if he were insignificant. But was that really how he felt?

Deep down, Joshua only wished never to cross paths with Seokmin in the office. Seeking solace, he headed to his best friend Haein's cabin. Their friendship had blossomed in an unexpected way. One fateful evening, the two had stumbled into each other on a crowded street in Germany, leading to a beautiful brother-sister bond between a Korean and a Korean-American.

"Good morning, Haein," Joshua greeted her with a slight smile.

"Hello, Jisoo," Haein replied, returning the grin. She then turned to her assistant, instructing her to invite someone to her cabin. Joshua wasn't entirely sure of the employee's name—it hadn't mattered to him. Little did he know...

"Anyways, Sunghee will guide you to your cabin, but before that, I want you to meet someone," the CEO said.

"Who—" Joshua began, but a familiar voice interrupted him.

"May I come in, Haein-ssi?"

"Come in, Seokmin," Haein instructed. Joshua's heart sank as he saw Seokmin enter. He tried desperately to avoid making eye contact, gazing at the ceiling and the floor instead. "Why's he here?" Joshua wondered. A small part of his heart was glad to see him, but the majority was filled with resentment toward his ex-lover.
