Everyone in Pledis University knew the enmity between Joshua and Seokmin. But the next scariest rival duo were Jun and Minghao. People would usually expect people from the same homeland to act as each other's back bones, especially in a foreign country. But these two were quite different.
They used the fact that they both were Chinese to an extent. In every single fight of the two faculties, you could always see the two bickering(more like swearing) at each other in Mandarin.
The last thing that they had expected was to be friends, let alone become a couple. But one Sunday Morning had changed everything. Well, if you want to randomly meet your enemy, just visit Seoul. That's what happened to Jun and Minghao.
Their every interaction was filled with eye-rolls, snarky comments, and a silent tally of who got on the other's nerves more. So, naturally, when they accidentally crossed paths on a lazy day, both of them tried to act like they hadn't noticed the other.
That is, until a fluffy gray kitten strolled right between them, purring and rubbing against their ankles like it had known them both forever.
Jun's eyes lit up, and all traces of his scowl melted as he crouched down. "Aww, aren't you the cutest little thing?" he cooed, holding out a finger for the kitten to sniff.
Minghao, who had been moments away from snapping at Jun for existing, softened too. "Look at those little paws," he murmured, kneeling beside Jun. "This cat has taste."
"Oh please," Jun scoffed, but he couldn't keep the grin off his face. "It obviously came to me first."
As they squatted there on the sidewalk, heads almost touching in their shared fascination, a passerby couldn't help but smile at the sight. "You two are just the sweetest! Is that your kitten?"
Jun and Minghao's heads shot up, both of them stammering in unison, "No, no, no! We're not—"
"Oh, don't be shy! I can tell when a couple's in love," the passerby continued, oblivious. "The way you're both so focused on that kitten... It's heartwarming."
Jun and Minghao exchanged a horrified glance. "Couple?" Jun blurted, while Minghao gagged slightly. But just as they both opened their mouths to correct the passerby, the kitten let out a cute, demanding meow, clearly urging them to get back to showering it with attention.
Unable to resist, they both turned back to the kitten, grumbling under their breath. "You owe me for this," Minghao muttered, scratching the kitten's head.
"Me? You're the one who's obsessed," Jun shot back, though he looked equally enraptured, softly petting the kitten's tail.
By now, another group of people had stopped to watch them, convinced they were witnessing the cutest little family moment ever. "Are you two going to adopt it together?" someone called out.
Resigned, they exchanged a look. Maybe, just maybe, they could pretend for a few more minutes—at least until they could find a less crowded corner to argue over who got to take the kitten home. But that wasn't going to happen any soon.
" Maybe you guys should come inside and play with our kitten" said a lady's voice, interrupting the two males.
Both of them were so involved into the animal, that they didn't realize the building that stood next to them. It was a Cat Cafe, the kitten wasn't a stray, it belonged to the cafe.
"We have a discount for couples" continued the lady. Minghao looked at her tag with said ' Chou Tzuyu '
" But we aren't" said Jun, with a dejected sigh in the end.
" You guys don't need to be embarrassed of it" said Tzuyu with a soft smile.
" He'd be the last idiot I'd date" stated Minghao with a scoff.
"The feelings mutual" added Jun to which Tzuyu slightly sighed and said " We have a discount that if you order two drinks, you'd only have to pay for one"
"But I guess, you guys don't want it" she added, she continued to walk towards her cafe.
" You know, that offer sounds great" began Jun. "All we have to do is act like a couple"
" That's not gonna happen" said Minghao, nodding his head sideways. This was the last thing that he had expected to do that day. Maybe he should have just gone to the Shinee concert with BooSeokSoon.
" Fine, we'll play rock, paper, scissors and whoever wins pays for the loser's drink" suggested Jun. Minghao was perplexed, doesn't the loser usually pay.
They played the game and the results were quite interesting. Jun lost and Minghao had won. "Don't you know, the one who suggests the game always loses" commented loser with a playful smirk.
"Fine!" groaned Minghao to which Jun excitedly grabbed his hands and dragged him to the cafe for his treat.
Tzuyu's face lit up when she saw the to-be couple enter the building. " I knew that you'd come along" she commented as she showed the pair their table.
And this surprisingly continued for weeks. And it was Minghao's first and last time paying for the other's drink as without failing even a single time, Jun kept on winning every single match of the game. It seemed as if he was purposefully kept on winning the games. But that's a mystery up to date.
Both of them started enjoying each other's company and that was the point from which their love story began. They had decided to spend some time together for fun only to discover that their chemistry was no mistake.
And finally Jun decided to confess in a very interesting manner. How? That's a story to be narrated some other time.

PRESENT :-
"What happened to that cat?" asked Samuel to which Minghao replied "We adopted it her, Ai, Nai and Hui are her kittens"
"That Cafe?" questioned Chan.
" Tzuyu was going to sell it after 2 years, so bought it from her" said Joshua.
" Moon Cafe?" asked Wonwoo to which the couple nodded their head. While the others were asking their doubts (more like interrogating), a sudden voice startled all of them.
"LEE SEOKMIN!"
"Oh no!" Seokmin mentally prepared himself, 'cause he could almost predict what would happen next. Whose voice did it belong to? Be my guest to guess...
