It's been a week since we came here and I'm getting more agitated by every day. Jungkook kept his distance from me except the good night kiss he gives me everyday on forehead and I'm happy about the keep the distance thing but my traitorous body is still under his spell and wants his attention.
My days are consistent of keeping my distance from jungkook and running behind Min-ho, yeah my smart and intelligent kid suddenly turned naughty like he runs around the house smiling and pulling pranks on taehyung and namjoon with the help of the jin and jungkook just laughs on his tactics.
Min-ho burst through the door, his face alight with excitement. In his little hands, he clutched a Minion plush toy, its yellow, goofy face grinning back at him.
"Mom! Mom!" he shouted, practically bouncing with joy. "Look what Uncle joon got me!"
His eyes sparkled with uncontainable delight, and the sight was so pure it made my heart swell. I set aside the book I’d been reading and knelt down to his level.
"Oh, Min-ho, that’s amazing!" I exclaimed, reaching out to gently take the plush from his grasp. I examined it, noting its soft, cuddly features and its friendly, albeit mischievous, eyes. "Uncle joon really knows how to pick out the best gifts."
Min-ho nodded vigorously, his grin stretching even wider. "He said it’s for being so good and helping him with his files!"
I hugged him tightly, the plush toy squeezed between us. His small arms wrapped around my neck, and I could feel his little heart beating fast with happiness. In that moment, everything seemed perfect.
But as I held him, a shadow of worry crossed my mind. Min-ho’s attachment to this family was growing deeper every day, and my heart ached at the thought of leaving them.
The fear that Min-ho won't be happy saying goodbye to them. Min-ho deserved stability, and my heart broke at the thought of uprooting him from the happiness he had found here.
With a deep breath, I pushed those thoughts aside, forcing a smile to my face. "I’m so glad you like it, sweetheart. We’ll make sure it has a special place in your room."
His eyes twinkled with happiness, and he ran off to show his new toy to jungkook. As I watched him go, I fought to keep my smile steady, trying to cherish these moments even as I feared their impermanence.
"You thinking about sneaking off?" The sudden sound of Taehyung's voice jolts me from my thoughts, his words slicing through my contemplation like a knife. His tone is both teasing and accusing, and it makes my heart skip a beat.
I turn to him, trying to mask my unease. "No, why would I think that?" I reply, though my awkwardness is evident, betraying my true feelings.
Taehyung's gaze sharpens, and he leans in slightly, a smirk tugging at his lips. "It's written all over your face, Geuui cheonsa." The nickname makes me bristle; the way he says it, it's almost affectionate, yet it only serves to inflame my frustration.
