As a human being, it is our responsibility to keep our body healthy. I believe that prevention is better than cure. After years in this spiritual journey, I gradually lost my cravings for food. My body seems not happy when I eat junk foods. So now my food intake is very limited. I seldom eat sweets, carbs and meat. I only eat foods that can contribute nutrients to my body. I don't drink colas or coffees anymore. Just milk and water or fresh fruit juices.
I feel I become more healthier and happier. Before, even If I drink Vitamin C daily, I can still catch flu virus every 3 months. Now, I can last for more than a year or 2 without getting sick.
According to Master Sri Yukteswar, a good laugh is an excellent cure for human ills. Do you know that the main culprit why humans get sick are negative emotions like anger, stress, depression, etc. If you observe, when a person gets angry like now, at night he can get sick like he can have headache, body pain, will vomit, etc. Anger is the number 1 that triggers illnesses. Next is stress. When a person is always angry, he is like unconsciously reducing his lifespan on earth. Where as, a happy person is healthier and will live longer. The chemistry of the body is different when a person is happy compared when he is always angry or stress.
I believe that it is possible for a human to reach 100 years old without getting sick and still healthy and strong. Our human body is gullible. It will always believe whatever our minds believe, command or dictate. If you can convince your body that you are strong and healthy, then your body will do anything in it's power to keep the body healthy. Remember that the best doctor in the Universe are inside our body. But if you will say that you will going to get sick, then you will really get sick because that's what you believe in.
I have a relative who's son got paralyzed and I saw him pushing his wheel chair along the seaside around 6pm almost everyday. After 6 months or so, we found out that the son was finally able to walk and even managed to get a job as a seaman.
Nothing can beat the natural Vitamin D from the sun. Combined with the energy of the ocean in the morning, I think it's the best healer of all. Just make sure that you don't take a bath before you do sunbathing so you won't get rid of the natural oil in the skin.
We are all healers. I strongly believe that all diseases are curable.
Here is the list on how to stay healthy
1) Water. It is the best first aid for all illnesses. Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. It is best to drink on an empty stomach like in the morning when you wake up and in between meals.
2) Sleep. Have at least 6-7 hours of sleep everyday. Do you know that when we sleep, cosmic energy is entering our body. This energy is what keeps our body cells functioning properly. That's why when we wake up, we feel recharge. If a person don't get enough sleep every night, he will have poor immune system and can get sick easily. If a person don't get sleep for straight 5 days or so, can even die.
3) Exercise. It is important to keep our heart strong. A long walk, jogging or light exercises like zumba will do. If a person don't get enough activity, the heart gets weaken. The flow of the blood will become abnormal and this is where diseases starts to emerge.
4) Eat healthy. Simple and natural food are better. Avoid too much sugar and carbs. Too much sugar in the skin is aging. Too much sugar in the body is cancer.
5) Be happy and have a positive outlook in life. Life can be very challenging but happiness is a choice. Happy people are healthy people.
6) Sunbathing early in the morning. Not only it has many benefits but you know that sunlight increase the brain's release of a hormone called serotonin. It is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused.
7) Meditate. It will help you calm your mind and attains inner peace.
