Gemini(M) x Libra(M): My Mirror. My guardian.
Libra pov.
I stood in front of the mirror near tears. The scars were certainly still there. It was as if the cream the doctors gave wasn't working. I no longer needed bandages except from my arms. Dark spots covered my chest, shoulders and back.
It was hideous.
I wanted into crawl into a hole and just disappear. I used to be so pretty. In fact, that day I was off to work as model. Now that was gone, I was spending most of my time at home. Gem still had an internship at some tech firm, so he wasn't with me. He tried his best to get home earlier and I've noticed. He cut off time with his friends to stay with me. He's been getting all sorts of games, books and showing me all kinds of videos and series to keep me busy.
"Hey Libby." He greeted in his usually cheeky tone. Before, he would have hit me on the shoulder or maybe bite into it, or use any dangerously playful way to get my attention. But now he treated me with such care. It was different but not bad. He put me in greats spirit and I couldn't be luckier.
But he had sacrificed so much for my well being and I became a waste of space. He stopped hanging out with friends, almost got fired twice and has to be next to me every second or I'll cry. And knowing Gem, he hated being attached to someone.
I felt something like a marker on my back side making me jump lightly. Gem did things like this almost every other morning. He would either kiss every scar, use stickers to cover them up or anything in his unique power to ease the pain.
"So, I have a day off." He announced, doodling around my scars as if I was a canvas. "We could chill at home, go to a park or see a movie-" He continually listed endless activities for us. He turned me around to face him and his cheeky smile shifted to a caring one.
"Stop looking at me like that." I huffed turning my face. He's doing that thing he does when he instantly knows how I feel. I don't know whether it was just for me or for other people but Gem has a 8th sense for this kind of thing. He could read me like an open book but I doubt I was an interesting one.
"What's with the markers?" He had a whole pack of jumbo glitter markers in his hand. I could see that he had tested them on his arms. I could see some song lyrics, smiley faces, hearts and other doodles.
"So, it was just a thought but imagine having a sick dog."
"Yeah?" Gemini always said the smartest things in the dumbest ways.
"If you cover it in a blanket, is it still there?"
"Yes."
"Is it still sick?"
"Yes?" I had no idea where he was going.
"So why not give it medicine and give it a glow up"
"Okay. Now how does that relate?"I asked. I tilted my head to the side so he could get the scars on my neck.
"Instead of covering your scars, maybe we could uncover them and glam them up a bit." He popped the cover of a marker on and turned me around to see his work. To be honest, I looked like a children's colouring book but the thought behind it made my heart flutter. He gave me a peck on the cheek before skipping away.
I had a shower and went down to find Gem singing to a song.
Probably k-pop.
" They wonder how my spotlight is to bright~" He mumbled to himself. Gem was an average chef but watching him cook somehow made everything better. He did everything with music. He cooked, cleaned, wrote stories, worked on his robots or gadgets. In fact, Gem did a lot of things. He draws, he writes, he invents, he tries to paint and many others.
