 Scorpio(M) X Pisces(F): you talk too much

"And is it true that Scorpio, the notorious mafia boss is still out there at this moment." The Reporter asked. I laughed nervously fiddling with my finger under the table.

"Y-yes he's still out there but- "

"Isn't this the 3rd time he'd escaped you?"

"Yes but- "

"How come our city's Hero can't do anything about that. The city spends thousands of tax dollars on you just to fly around- "

"Actually, I can't fly- "

"What kind of superhero are you?" I couldn't speak. She was right, though but still it's hard being the only Hero in town.

"I apologize to everyone in Night city. I wasn't efficient enough to catch him, but rest assured- "

"But if you don't mind, could you explain these clips caught on cameras by on lookers of your encounter with Scorpion." On the screen behind us the video played.

The first one was when we first met, I had him cornered in an alley was sword held in front of me, he's gun had run out of bullets. We were both tattered, our hair a mess. I had slashed him with my sword a few times and a bullet had grazed my shoulder. The look in his eyes was dangerous. It wasn't psychopathic or even murderous but more predatory. He had dropped him empty gone and charged at me so fast I lost my grip on the sword and he had pinned me down.

I struggled under his grip but somehow managed to escape but he grabbed my sword and held it against my neck. I froze think of what to do. When he started laughing.

"So this is the famous hero that protects this town." He ran a bloody finger down my cheek and smiled evilly. "Pathetic." He then got up and walked away leaving me stunned.

But what the footage was able to record was him pinning me down and then getting up.

"The footage was taken out of-." She played the next to clip from different angles. I tried explaining but she wouldn't give me the chance.

"And that's it for tonight's show everyone-."

I turned off the TV.

"It's not so bad." Virgo who was sitting behind me said but underneath I knew she knew it was that bad.

"They're slandering her." Gemini pipped up going through her phone. "I hate news reporters so much."

I held my hands in my hands. That interview has been playing for a week...different police officers would be called to talk about my only fail in ten years a hero. I was so done with this city.

"I'm quitting." I muttered, tears forming in my eyes. What's the point of this if the people I'm saving only slander me when I fail once. I've protected thousands by myself without help from the government and all they do is pressure me with standard pay. I sustained scars for the crappy people in this city but the moment I fail I'm a constant screw-up.

Maybe I am just a screw-up.

"Good, if that's what you want." Gemini agreed but Virgo gave her a look like she said something wrong.

"Gemini, she's a hero-"

"Hero my ass. After all she's done for the city, I think she deserves to be selfish. Pisces if you want to take a break or quit, that's perfectly fine and we support you." Virgo tried to protest but Gemini gave her a look and she didn't.

Those two were my best friends for as long as I remember, they knew I was a superhero and never tried to get me to do stuff for them, they've supported me so much more than I deserve.

I pulled them into a hug. Gemini was right, I deserve to be selfish at least once...

Later that night, we were eating and snacked when Gemini suddenly piped up.

"Woah, karma's on your side Pisces. Look" She showed me her phone and the sight horrified me. The news reporter was tied upside down, hanging from the news building, naked and carved into her chest 'You talk too much.'

"That's terrible-"

"Serves her right." Gemini spoke over Virgo, "who do you think did it?" I was about to say I'm not sure but when I zoomed in, I saw graffiti on the wall-Scorpio's logo.
